Stayed in this clean, well managed and affordable unit for the month of March, 2013. One of four units in an Art Deco style building located a short 20 minute walk to the downtown area of St Pete where you find the Dali and Fine Arts museums and of course, the Pier and all the marinas and restaurants. The Sunken Gardens is a fifteen minute walk and well worth a visit. Taylor, the manager was so helpful in giving us tips on where to go and what to see. Thanks, Taylor, you’re the best. On our bikes, getting around town was a breeze. The Pinellas County bike trails are wonderful, safe, extensive and close by. As an added bonus to the off street parking (so nice to have), we were able to secure the bikes from the weather in one of the garages. The kitchen was well equipped, the wireless internet was fast and the laundry room was free to use. Many local restaurants to choose from and just a short walk away as were the chains, Panera, Carrabba’s, Outback Steakhouse. Loved happy hour on the deck at Three Birds Tavern, pizza at Valentino’s and seafood at the 4th St Shrimp Shack. Favorite restaurant downtown was Cassis (great for deserts, too) and our favorites out Central Ave were Ricky P’s Orleans Bistro and The Queens Head. Then there’s Beaks for a Key West happy hour, a must see. Note: the bed is low to the floor and might be awkward for some but we had no problems. The foam mattress was heaven. Enjoyed the stay so much.
