Very nice condo - great access to the beach

4 of 5
The location is easy to find and close to lots of restaurants and the beach. The condo is in an older complex but was very nice inside (recently remodeled) with plenty of space and the grounds are well maintained. The condo has everything you need including a new Styrofoam cooler (I broke the old one - replaced it). Just hit the local Publix store and stock up the fridge. Parking was excellent. At most resort hotels in the stretch from St. Pete Beach to Clearwater, parking is a problem but not here. The rental comes with a hang pass, we parked very near the entrance to our building. There are no elevators so if you can't climb a couple short flights of stairs select a ground floor unit. The pool is clean and heated which is great for evening swimming. If you walk down the beach to the East you'll find a place on near the Trade Winds complex that rents 2 lounge chairs and a shade cabana (the yellow ones) for $25 sun up to sunset (best deal). If you want to sleep in it's not easy because the bedroom blinds do a poor job keeping out the morning sun - they need to invest in some room darkening shades/drapes. TV's in the main room and the bedroom, good (cold) A/C and everything you need in the bathrooms. Beach towels are available for use in the hall closet. Overall, a very good experience and enjoyable vacation.

Return Trip Even Better Than My First Visit

5 of 5
After having stayed here last September, my wife and I were eager to come back to this great spot on the beach at Treasure Island. We had seen from the website that the owner had redecorated the place, and we were wowed when we walked in by how bright and tasteful the new touches had made the place. There was a new, larger television, new beach furniture and an overall decor that was clean and contemporary. We could hardly believe that there was a veritable library of DVD's to choose from, and we watched several during our nine-day stay. Of course, that was in the evening. During the day, the million dollar view from the balcony compelled us to get out into the warm gulf waters each morning and afternoon, and we even rented a kayak one day to explore the view of Treasure island from the vantage point that dolphins get--and we saw a couple of those, too. During the middle of one pretty warm day, we ventured into St. Petersburg to visit the Salvador Dali Museum, and we were very pleasantly surprised that such a phenomenal collection of 20th century art could be found on display just twenty minutes drive from this extraordinary condo. We cooked most of our meals in, using the range top and the surprisingly effective toaster oven. But on a couple of occasions we took the short drive to St. Pete Beach and hit the Toasted Monkey for pizza and Nori Thai for some curry. Each night, we fell asleep to the sound of the ocean waves breaking on the beach. That has got to be one of the most soothing sounds in the world, and it's almost unbelievable that we could experience that on a nightly basis. We feel that the owner has gone the extra mile to create a clean, attractive vacation spot with more amenities than other places where we've stayed on the gulf coast. Check it out for yourself--you're sure to return, as we did.

great place to stay!

5 of 5
This place was great! Nice new appliances and clean. I did wish it had a dishwasher but that's the only thing it was missing. Right on the beach and the beach actually allows alcohol which was nice to have a beer without it being against the rules! Also it was great that they have beach chairs in the room and an umbrella for you to use. The pool is not heated which was funny because the ocean was warmer than the pool. But over all a great place to stay! I would definitely stay there again!
