Beautiful Intracoastal Getaway

4 of 5
Clean with great amenities and convenient location. We were very pleased with the beautiful view over the water as well with the hot tub and everything advertised. The location is right off the main street and there is a supermarket (Winn Dixie) with the beach and restaurants just a short bike ride or car ride away. John and Sherri were fantastic hosts and if we needed anything they were right there to help. The only issue we had was it really only sleeps four comfortably. The couch that is a pull-out is located in a bedroom and you would have to move the furniture around to utilize. A very minor inconvenience since the couch in the living room was very comfortable. I would highly recommend the property!

Over all, this was a great experience

5 of 5
The house is absolutely amazing. Very well decorated, and also well lit. The house sits on the bay and has a great dock that you can go fishing off of or simply just sit out and relax. This place has a lot of cool things for the guests such as fishing gear, bikes, beach stuff like chairs and umbrellas, etc. During my stay I found that mostly all the bikes ended up having flat tires beyond simple repair (air compressor was available, but tires ended up leaking the air). The house also has a beautiful pool. It wasn't very big, but it was really nice to look at and fun to lounge in. The house sits on a nice and quiet residential island and is only walking distance to the beach (but a long walk - I wouldn't suggest carrying anything to the beach if walking). Gordon, the property manager (or owner - not too sure) can be a bit hard to get a hold of. I found myself scrambling the day before trying to get a hold of him to get the instructions for my stay. But I eventually did get him on the phone (within an hour or two of trying to reach him) and was very pleasant to talk to. I also feel it's necessary to admit that he was generous enough to let me rent his property with only 3 weeks notice (very short notice). The rental is set up to really take care of itself. I didn't see anyone that was affiliated with the house during my stay. I enjoyed myself and left the house at check-out time. As for the deposit, the system worked out well because I did feel I should receive a full refund on the deposit, and I did; however, I feel it took a little longer than it should have. I checked out on 10-6-2014, and I ended up getting my deposit on 10-24-2014. It's only a $500 deposit (not a lot when you realize how nice the rental is), but I did feel that since my stay was over, I wasn't important enough to be responded to promptly. It kind of left a bad taste in my mouth. But after a little pestering, and at the end a bit of a stern email, I got the response I was looking for. Then one week later I got my deposit. To be fair, I did agree to the terms in the rental agreement, and one of the terms is that the refunding of the deposit can take up to the 30 days. So I admit I was impatient, but it's hard not to be when you feel like you can be taken advantage of easily with this system. At the end of the day, this is ultimately a very positive experience, and I would recommend to anyone who is interested in this rental to do so. You will not be disappointed.

Good place to stay!

4 of 5
The house is nice. It is an older home. But well kept. Aside from the air conditioning not working very well during most of our stay (which was corrected on the last day) we had no problems with the house. It is indeed in a quite neighborhood. The idea of a garage is nice. But my car wouldn't fit. Beach access is direct and close. I took my dog with me after getting approval. I took a crate for her. But when we got there, I was pleasantly surprised to see there are 2 doors to the kitchen that can be closed to provide a large space for my pet to stay without worrying about her getting into any trouble. The beds were crazy comfortable. Though the ceiling fan in the back room could use some work. It made quite a racket and was needed the first 2 nights when the a/c wasn't working so well. Overall, I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again if circumstances arose.
