We stayed here for 6 weeks this winter. The duplex was very comfortable. The kitchen had plenty of cookware & some basics (sugar, flour, oil, etc) which was appreciated. I telecommuted and the wifi connection/speed were excellent. Full-sized washer/dryer, which was great for our extended stay. We loved the location - it's on a quiet street but very close to the beach & also very close to the main drag (A1A Beach Blvd) so it's easy walking distance to a variety of restaurants, cafes, & shops. Also could walk to the weekly Farmers Mkt every Wednesday at the Pier. And a great little ice cream shop (Coneheads) is just a short walk away, too (1/2 price cones when it's raining!).
The kitchen cabinets are white now, not lime-green as pictured. There are recycling bins (awesome!) & you can go on the St. John's County webpage to confirm what can be recycled. There is a gas grill, which needed cleaning when we arrived but Martha's son came promptly to take care of this when notified. It should be noted that while towels are provided, those are bathroom towels only. You will need to provide your own beach towels. Also, you need to bring your own hair dryer. But those are minor things for a very well-situated & well-maintained home. The owner did not always respond quickly to our emails but text messaging worked fine. And we had virtually no problems during our lengthy stay so we didn't have much reason to contact her anyway.
Overall, we were very pleased with this home and it was much better than some other places we have rented, so we think it deserves a 5 star rating! We'd return again except it's about an hour from our daughter's home so we will probably look for something closer to her next time. We're back in Minnesota now & already miss our daily beach walks near Martha's home in St. Augustine Beach.
