Three generations of my family stayed at Sea Cabin in July. The owner (Mary) is delightful. She has perfected the reservation/check-in process, making both a breeze. It was obvious from the time we pulled into the drive the house has been meticulously maintained. The interior was “white glove” clean. The rooms are much larger than they appear in the photos. The furnishings were lovely; no garage sale cast-offs here! Bed linens were fresh and mattresses were super comfy. We particularly enjoyed that each bedroom had its own private bathroom and veranda. Each bath had a generous supply of towels; no skimping here! The kitchen was stocked with every pot, pan, dish, glassware and cooking gadget you could possibly need. We ate out, cooked in and utilized the gas grill to cook fresh seafood purchased from Goatfeathers. Having had 3 children with us the washer/dryer proved to be a blessing. The techie in our group was pleased to find all electronics in perfect working order including WiFi connectivity. The grounds were manicured and the pool area, 10 steps from the back porch, was well maintained and furnished with plenty of lounge chairs; however we rarely had any company while at the pool. The beach is 300 steps from the front door …an easy stroll. With 3 children we had lots of beach paraphernalia. We has a system… the early riser in our group would drive our car loaded with beach supplies down to the small public lot at the entrance to the beach , before walking back to the house. When we were ready to go to the beach we walked or rode our rented bikes and retrieved our beach supplies from the car (super convenient!). Bike rental on the corner was convenient, very reasonable and the owners were great! Old Florida Cottages is a charming, quiet, family- friendly respite. Sea Cabin far exceeded our best expectation! Hated to leave and can’t wait to return! Thanks for a glorious week at the beach!
