Wonderful place-so relaxing and comfortable

5 of 5
This is a fantastic home. Wendy was wonderful to deal with throughout the process, very accommodating and helpful re recommendations for things to do, where to eat, etc. The beach is beautiful and wonderful for shelling. It was very private-most days we were the only people on the beach for a long way. The beach is a short walk and the beach cart makes it very convenient. The house is so nicely decorated and comfortable. It is an ideal layout for vacationing. There is plenty of room so everyone has their own space and privacy but the open layout makes the shared space cozy even though it is quite spacious. We loved the family room off the kitchen with the breakfast nook for hanging out and looking over our shells. The kitchen has everything you need to cook and has tons of storage. The furniture was very comfortable as were the beds. There were plenty of towels-bath and beach. We also enjoyed the lighthouse beach very much (different kinds of shells, lots of sand bars and a lovely view of Fort Myers). The photos and descriptoins don't quite do the house justice. It is even nicer than it looks! The property was spotless and the lanai with the gorgeous pool and landscaping is visible from most of the rooms, giving it a tropical feel. It is a quiet street and neighborhood. We have recommended this property to friends. We enjoyed dinner at Trader's (excellent food), the Sanibel Thriller boat ride and the Cabbage Key Captiva Cruise, and appetizers at George and Wendy's. Also the sunset at the Mucky Duck on Captiva and shell crafting at the Community House on Mondays. We preferred Bailey's for groceries (and their excellent coffee bar and bakery!!). It was a very relaxing time for us as a family and we plan to come back!!

Bella of the Sanibel island.

5 of 5
It was one of our best vacations ever. The house was immaculately clean, very warm and inviting. It is kind of those houses where you feel home the minute you walk in. It has a great personality to it, unlike standard vacation rentals that all look the same. Sanibella is great for families and is also couples who want to enjoy themselves in a beautiful and serene environment. It is located a few minutes of walk from the beach which was a great plus for us. It is very close to several restaurants that serve amazing food. There is a little lake right in front of the house that houses two baby alligators and a bunch of turtles. My kids could not wait for the morning to run to the lake. My husband and I toured the island on bicycles that were part of many extra bonuses this house provided. We usually purchase a few things when we rent houses in Florida and have to leave them behind. This house was an exception because it was well stocked with everything vacationers need. We didn't have to purchase anything for the beach. Instead of running from the store to the store we just enjoyed our vacation. Oh, I have to mention those beds. They are so comfy you wouldn't want to get up in the morning.

Nice property on relaxing Sanibel Island, FL

4 of 5
My wife and 3 children recently rented this condo last minute. We contacted the owner directly via email and she was very responsive. Ultimately, she referred us to a professional agency that manages the rental -- great for peace of mind should anything go wrong. Rental agency was easy to deal with as well. The unit was bright and had fairly updated furnishings, including a nice, big flat screen in the main room. Beds were comfortable. There was an air/spring mattress in a sofa bed. Whoever stayed prior to us used the mattress only in the second bedroom (it was found in the closet already blown up), so we did the same. Has dishes, coffee maker, toaster, wine glasses, etc. all you'd need. Appliances are dated, but we did not cook much beyond a frozen pizza...oven worked fine. There is no in-unit washer/dryer, though there is a public one on the floor. Owner provided some beach chairs and umbrellas, which is nice. There is shaded, covered parking, you don't have access to the storage closet by the parking spot, however (i.e., you need to bring beach toys, chairs, etc. up each night, or do like we did and just leave them in your car). Elevator is at the far end away from the beach, so we ended up just using the stairs a lot...no issue, but unloading / loading could require a few trips. You have a slight (angled) view of the ocean from the unit, which is nice. Pool was nice and convenient and never crowded. The main resort (the one owned by LXR, I believe) is just down the beach. It looks a little tired, and we did not feel like we were missing out by not staying or paying to access the resort proper. Note: you can walk down and grab lunch or drinks at the beachside bar. Food was pretty good, and it makes for an easy lunch without leaving the beach. Good happy hour as well! Sanibel is great, location of this unit is convenient to restaurants, grocery store, pharmacy, and activities. Overall, we enjoyed our stay. High notes: Clean unit, quiet complex, nice TV, comfortable furnishings. Low notes: Sundial complex WiFi is *very* slow so if you need video conferencing or the like, you'll be out of luck. I'd hesitate to do a working vacation here for this reason. Recommendations to owner: maybe add a wireless router in unit, washer/dryer, rug for main room to warm it up a bit.
