Beautiful beach, beautiful home for a family

5 of 5
This was our second trip to Captiva for a family vacation including a toddler. Captiva is a great fit for any family looking for fun, relaxation and a beautiful environment. We will continue to come and Sunset Dreams will be where we stay. The location is excellent with beach access and a short walk to restaurants and recreational options. It has many great spaces, particularly the master bedroom deck and the bay side verandas. The property us very well maintained with multiple areas for a group of 6-8 to gather. We pre-ordered our groceries from Jerry's which was very helpful. For $25 dollars they shop, deliver and put away your groceries. There is a nice set of beach supplies(chairs, umbrellas, cooler, wagon and toys included. We added a few more rental chairs, crib and a child's tent from Island Rentals. They had great service as well dropping off and picking up the rental equipment. Plenty of good choices of restaurants. R C Otters and Key Lime Bistro a toss up for our favorite.

Perfect location!

5 of 5
We stayed in this lovely house with my mother and 2 kids and it was perfect. The position is great....walked over to the beach everyday and loved just chilling! The views are fantastic...really cant be beaten as other houses just didnt have the full view we had. The house was lovely....really easy and enough space for all of us. There is a fab clean pool behind the house that was a godsend...kids loved going in here after the beach or when in was too hot...never crowded and really handy. Dan who we dealt with was a dream...really helpful and very nice to speak to. I hope you enjoy the holiday as much as we did!

Wet but Wonderful!

You have a wonderful vacation home. The views and beautiful scenery are well worth the visit. Your decorating is lovely, stylish yet comfy. We couldn't have asked for a better appointed kitchen and couldn't think of a thing that we needed that wasn't there. We had a terrific and adventurous stay. Tho we had rain, we found lots of things (games/puzzles and books) to keep us occupied and very relaxed! Great family time. Shelling on Sanibel was as amazing as ever. We also took the Sanibel Trolley to a July 4th Fireworks Cruise! Highly recommend doing something like that. We really enjoyed visiting off-season, it was so nice to visit a beach that wasn't jam packed, plenty of great restaurants. We missed going thru Ding Darling as we always enjoy that, but they were doing some road work ... a definite for next visit. During our stay, a power transformer blew and quite a bit of the island was without power overnight, but we opened up the back doors and slept comfortably without the AC. The breeze and the sound of the waves just so close probably helped with that :-) A beautiful vacation getaway! Thanks, David & Julie Van Dyke - Indianapolis
