Excellent experience at the Lakehouse

5 of 5
What a wonderful experience, from the time I walked in the door to the I left. The house was clean with many amenties, the owner had bottle water, wine, beers and snacks on hand. The lake in the back was absolute beautiful, kazaks and BBQ grill available, we lounge all day not wanting to leave the lakehouse to go my attended purpose of my trip. The owner was committed to you have wonderful time, I will definitely stay at the Lakehouse again....

cliff notes version: location, manatees, yachts, roomy beach house, pet friendly, pro mgmt.

8 of us had a great 9 day family reunion (including beloved family members, chocolate labs bruno and bella) in the tarpon bay house. the property is on a corner lot with great sun exposure...pool and patio on one side, and a covered chill area on the intracoastal for seating, dining, grilling, and sunsets. the yacht parade is mind blowing...be sure to plan your at-home day sunday when they all come out and flex their wealth. lots of other rentals boast waterfront, which means everyday you look out and see the same boats parked across the canal that rarely move. their claim about seeing manatee is no b.s....we saw at least 50 in the shallow water right off the seawall, most passing by, coming up for air and leaving with a tail flip...sometimes they would gather around the barnacles and nibble off the plants growing there...contrary to popular belief they seem pretty strong, fast and agile although many bear the scars of boat propellers on their backs. the house is almost a throwback museum from the 60's and has a lot of character, so if you're the picky type looking for high-end everything it's probably not for you. we're a bunch of cool breezes so it was a great home base for all the things to do real close in FtL. just so you know, it's really 2 full houses stuck together with no inside access, they both do open up to the 2 sides on the water and have 3 beds 2 baths each. it worked great for us, we put the young ones on one side, and us old farts on the other. best of all, dealing with lynn smith was great, always cheerful, available and accommodating.

Little Palm for Christmas!

5 of 5
The first night we arrived, I sat on the deck with my 17 and 10 year old boys and watched the sun set. The first time they had ever seen such amazing beauty! Ahhhhh. I am missing this place already. The house itself was clean, well organized and decorated, and STOCKED! In past rental homes we had to go out and buy all of our supplies (dishwasher soap, laundry soap, paper towels, beach towels, disposable silverware/plates, etc.) We really felt like we were the guests of this property owner and did not have to buy any of this stuff. Washer/dryer were like new and came in handy with 4 kids and 2 adults. Husband and older kids loved the big tv! Younger 2 and mom lived in the "yard" and beach! Great views, handy to have Mike, the rental guy right off the patio. He set us up with chairs and umbrella everyday, as well as arranged parasailing. This home is far enough away from the crazy "Town Square" area, but close enough to other shops and restaurants. We drove everywhere, so did not get a chance to ride the "trolly". Roxanna was available via text if we needed her. Everything was as described, which is something you always are concerned about as a renter. We only have a few suggestions. My husband was looking forward to spending his time in that hammock that was in your photos, but we didn't see one anywhere. Also, the house is tucked away off the road, which is great, but we did miss it several times during the week if we weren't paying attention, as did the food delivery man! Maybe a bigger "Little Palm" address sign would be helpful for future guests and delivery people! Thank you for sharing your vacation home with us!
