The property is located on Gulf Blvd. It is a short walk to the public beach access, and it is nestled in with a few other houses and businesses. There is a great park with nice slides, swings, volleyball net, covered picnic tables and grills just a few steps down Gulf Blvd. It is a great location for kids. The property looks like a motel from the 1970's that has been updated and manicured to be esthetically pleasing. The landscaping and courtyard are simple and attractive. The efficiency room that we stayed in was small, yet we (2 adults and a preschooler) were fine. The best part is that the room, kitchenette, bathroom and linens were clean. There is clearly no smoking allowed in the rooms! Thank You! I could tell that the bedspreads were freshly washed and had a pleasant smell. The bed linen had a high thread count; it was not the cheap stuff. The towels and kitchen towels were a bright white. The towels were thick as well. The kitchenette was well stocked for the three of us. The room had a small TV, and had WiFi access. Judy was around and available when needed, and she was so pleasant. I can tell that she takes pride in Carousel Motel, and she loves what she does. To sum it up, the room had all that we needed at a fair price. Perhaps the next time, we will try one of her larger units! The motel is not for someone who is going to nitpick at every little thing; it is for those who plan to enjoy the beach while having a super clean reasonable place to stay just steps away from the beach.
