We came from around the country to celebrate my dad's 90th b'day. We've been coming to this area, to his home (Coconut Creek) for 35 years but who knew lurking behind a plain, typical south FL house (just a few neighborhoods away) on a very quiet street was this gem of a family get-a-way retreat? And, it's around the corner from our latest favorite seafood restaurant to boot!
The house had everything we needed and more: space, nicely appointed interior, magnificent outdoor area (pool, tikki hut, boat dock, gas grill), fully equipped kitchen, arcade games, children's play area and tons & tons of mangos! It accommodated 7 adults, one 4 yr old and one toddler nicely (though be aware that you have to be super conscious of the children as the pool and dock area are not fenced). Just outside of the subdivision is a Publix so for those that know when you rent a house, food shopping is a priority, it was a breeze to stock the kitchen quickly.
We made a party for my dad and invited local family and friends of his (16 in all). As each entered the front door and made their way to the center of the house their eyes grew wide with surprise as to how beautiful the scenery was through the wall of floor to ceiling glass. We all felt like we were off on a tropical vacation.
This was the first time we've rented a house and actually met the owner (Claude). He was very welcoming and responsive to our needs. Thank you for sharing your lovely home.
