Paradise of amenities

The condo rental is a fabulous find! Nice furnishings, beautifully maintained and open concept. Floors are tile-great for people with allergies. There are views of the intercoastal waterway from the master and living room. I saw dolphins from bed twice and great blue herons weekly at the pond. There is a lovely walk path around the harbor. Be sure to take the ferry to the beach! When you get off the dock, walk the crushed shell path thru all of the green roof condos and cross the wooden boardwalk over the sea grass to the beach. (Don't turn right or left on the dirt road-keep walking the path thru the green roof condos.) There are benches at the end of the wooden walk to leave your shoes and a hose to rinse your feet when you are done at the beach. For eating out: I have had some nice grilled grouper at The Gasparilla Marina restaurant, "The Waterside Grill". Out the gate, turn right, a little over a mile just over the coral creek bridge. Very casual, bar atmosphere looking into the marina. Just before the Gasparilla Marina is a fishing village on the right with shops, restaurant and a fresh seafood market. One mile from the condo (turn right out of gate) is the Boca Grande Causeway (turn right at light) with a fee to cross. Boca Grande Main Street has lovely upscale shops, art galleries and places to eat. Our favorite lunch place to eat in Englewood is "Mango Bistro" on historic Dearborn Street. Out the gate turn left on Placida Road, turn left onto McCall road, turn left onto Dearborn.
