Me and a few of my buddies from work had just completed a long-term deal with a particularly lucrative company out of Asia, and we decided we needed to get the wives and take a trip down to somewhere we could have: great weather, a beautiful beach, seclusion when desired, shopping for the girls, great dinners, and that four letter word: GOLF!
We were referred to this property by some colleagues, and made the call, sealing the deal for our stay with the owner, who by the way was a pleasure to work with. That's important; all of us who commence business here in the US and afar, know just how important the one-on-one factor is when it comes to logistics and planning. The owner gave us nothing but clear, concise information regarding the property, amenities, etc... payment methods. Easy-done in 10 minutes. (I love this country!)
We arrived and were blown away by the view. One side of the balcony looking at the Gulf if Mexico streching far into the horizon to continents beyond and on the other side, a beautiful view of the bay, Pensacola beach, and the mainland. Amazing sunrises, sunsets-i felt as if I could reach up and touch the stars during the evenings. We left the balcony doors slightly open during some evenings to allow the fresh sea air and the continuous lapping of the waves on the Gulf. Really spectacular! The condo was clean and well equipped with modern, pragmatic appliances.
The days were great-the girls shopped till they dropped along the Boardwalk (4.5 miles up the beach by car, bike or even watercraft (option provided in package we purchased)-I'm glad we sealed the deal-they spent all the money ;-). Us guys golfed, a short ride to the mainland, arranged by the hotel (package). It was AWESOME! There is plenty of great place to wine and dine. We spent one night at a great seafood restaurant in downtown Pensacola, which is becoming quite charming with a combination of Spanish/Victorian 1920s architecture and youthful, dynamic entrepreneurial spirit. Lots of shops, galleries, brew pubs, great coffee, all draped in the southern coastal traditions. The next night, through a recommendation from our owner, we got some fish steaks, shrimp and oysters from Joe Patti's (right off the boat-FRESH as can be), and grilled them on out condo's balcony. Added a few baguettes, great beer/wine/scotch, some butter and lemon-wow, "Boo-Yah baby!"
It's not only nice, its VERY nice, and we're coming back Mea!!!! Thanks so much! Excellent.
