Our expectations were exceeded with this property. Everything was top notch/first class. The tile flooring, granite countertops (in kitchen and all bathrooms), fireplace, and crown moldings all added to the luxurious ambiance. The kitchen was large and well-planned. Every room had a wall-mounted flat-screen TV, ceiling fan, and private bathroom. Our bedroom (#5) even had a walk-in closet. I especially loved the art work and the lemongrass-scented toiletries. Our house-party included 11: an extended family, with 8 adults and 3 children. There was plenty of space for "together" time as well as "private" time. The view of Pensacola Sound presented calming, blue water, several types of boats, and the house's pier. One day I saw a pelican perched on a piling nearby. Because it was November, with chilly weather, we didn't use the pool, although it is heated and lighted at night. It would be great in summertime because you could sit on the deck's sunny side or its shady side (under an overhang). We were able to easily walk to the beach (on the Gulf side), shops, a family-friendly bar with a live band (Paradise Bar & Grill), and good restaurants (Flounders, Cactus Flower, Hemingway's); all of them were nearby. (We got fresh shrimp at Joe Patti's, in Pensacola.) As grandparents, we delighted in watching our grandson play at a small playground, only three lots away. Although it was windy, we walked on the beach, and I collected seashells. We also visited Fort Pickens. In close proximity, equipment for water sports is available for rental, although we didn't use any. If the opportunity arises, we would gladly make a return visit to this house.
