My husband and I just stayed last week and we loved it! We came in super late and the town was dead. We are not from the area so we were not sure if that was a good sign or a bad sign and so we were a little nervous. We decided to take a chance and are so glad that we did. Ormund Beach is a very quiet area and we would have a section of the beach to ourselves almost everyday. You can see the ocean at the end of the driveway and is super easy to walk to. We loved that towels, chairs, and umbrellas were provided. The backyard is fenced and is pretty private. We grilled out a couple nights and went for walks outside. We got crab legs, blue crab, and shrimp from the Macker Seafood Market in daytona one night-delicious!! Alfies is down the street and isn't bad-We liked their firecracker shrimp po boy. Publix is also not far away and the house is well stocked with kitchen supplies which makes it easy to dine in as well. We went to Orlando one day and loved that we were able to have a beach vacation along with visiting the theme parks. Overall we loved the quiet cozy town by the beach and this wonderful home. It is great for families and couples who want to getaway and relax. I would not recommend it for people wanting more nightlife, etc. Although Daytona isn't far away. Overall great place to stay and such a good deal for being so close to the beach! We hope we can make it back!
