Perfect location!!

5 of 5
Can not say enough good things about this place!! Upon planning a birthday/anniversary vacation, we were looking for a place that was close to everything, yet was in an area that wasn't busy. Also, we were looking for a place that would accomodate our 2 dogs. Upon finding this place on VRBO I stopped looking. We were certainly not disappointed!! This place has EVERYTHING you could possibly want or need! We found it very cute with the beach decor, and was very clean! It has a LOVELY back yard, that is also fenced, not to mention the hot tub!! We really enjoyed our stay here and definitely look forward to staying there again. It was so quiet, and we only saw one neighbor a few times, who was very friendly. We loved the fact that it was close to many different beaches, plus had its own beach access. Vilano beach is just a short drive down the road, which we visited often. My daughter was thrilled with all of the neat shells and sharks teeth she found there! If you are looking for a place off the beaten path, then this is the place for you!

Great place with a lovely view

5 of 5
The view across the grass and dunes is great...the photo here doesn't do it justice. While the balcony is a bit on the small side, it's perfect for enjoying an evening glass of wine while watching the waves. Since there was a great breeze off the ocean, it was rarely too hot despite the balcony getting full sun all morning (full shade in the afternoons). The furniture was comfy, including the king bed...normally I don't sleep well away from home but didn't have any problems this trip. The second room is a tad girly...that's not a bad thing but our teen sons weren't too keen about it ;) Kitchen is well stocked with plates, utensils, glasses, etc. The appliances are fancier than ours so it took me a bit of time to figure out how to use them properly. The microwave oven is ridiculously powerful...never seen things cook so fast. There's some beach stuff in the closest downstairs...the chairs came in very handy for us since we left ours at home. There's also a great selection of books (although not for the b The swimming pool is beautiful...surrounded by live oaks, so it doesn't feel like a concrete desert. We felt very safe and secure here (actually, pretty much everywhere on Amelia).
