Excellent Home

5 of 5
I entertained a group of customers here during the GA/FL game and the house was perfect for our needs. This was perhaps the best view and closest to the beach I have ever been. You are practically on top of the ocean. The great thing about the house is the space you have inside and out. You can fit a large group comfortably in the rooms as well as the common areas. We spent most of our time in the kitchen which was spacious enough for cooking, football watching, and a game of cards. As far as the space outside the full length deck was a perfect place to lounge overlooking you personal stretch of sand. In addition, with no other homes to your immediate right, you practically have a few hundred yards to yourself. The physical location of the house is about 20 min south of Ponte Vedra where we also played golf at the Ponte Vedra Inn and Club. A phenomenal (and challenging) 36 hole golf club, that will allow you access if you purchase a 3 Day temporary membership through the club/pro shop. About 5 miles south of the house is a very big Publix which made our lives a lot easier when stocking up on snacks, ice, etc. The convenience element that I did not take into consideration until we arrived was the accessibility to St. Augustine. A 15 min drive south and you drive right into downtown with plenty of shops, restaurants, bars, and sight seeing. If you have never been to St. Augustine, definitely go visit. It is a very cool and entertaining little city. Lots of history and plenty to do. I would recommend this house to anyone looking to get away and enjoy some personal beach time. I have stayed at plenty condos and visited too many public beaches to know that you cannot beat having your own strip of sand. Not only is the house a great piece of property the owners are reliable and easy people to work with. Enjoy your stay!!!

Relaxing Home-Away-From-Home

5 of 5
This is an excellent vacation home-away-from-home. The house is a wonderful beach house in a quiet area and has all of the necessities. There's a lot to do in Historic Fernandina and the surrounding area. A neighbor recommended Cedar River Seafood and it was excellent. We also enjoyed the Salty Pelican. St. Mary's, Georgia is a short drive to the north. We can't wait until we can go here again!

Perfect Vacation Home

5 of 5
This is our 2nd VRBO rental, the first was abroad. We feel very fortunate to have stayed 2 weeks in this truly lovely home. Donna was great with all details and the pictures do not do this property justice. The home, pool, the view, hot tub, outdoor dinning with outdoor TV, fully stocked kitchen, washer/dryer... all the details were so perfect, we often had to remind ourselves to leave the house and golf, beach, see the sights. To be honest by the second week we forgot what day is was. And the bed is extremely comfortable, we both have bad backs and had no issues. We took our corgi and jack Russell with us. The yard is "small dog proof" and we felt very safe letting them roam the yard while we were relaxing in the hot tub. There is a safety fence that can be put up around the pool which we did use for the dogs. There is also a tall privacy fence so you cannot see your neighbors, only the waterfowl hunting off the canal. The heated pool is amazing. The pool man and yard crew were very friendly. In fact, we intend to buy the same hot tub after a conversation with the man that takes care of the pool and tub. I miss that hot tub right now. The beach is less than 5 minutes away, St. Augustine is about 15 min, and my husband played 5 different golf courses, including golf hall of fame of course. There is a golf cub I think called St. Augustine Shores about 10 min away west of the house.. $10 for large basket on driving range. Course is not four stars but he loved waking up in the morning and going to the range..back to the house to find me reading by the pool, get in the hot tub, play in the pool, then go see sights/beach or play on the nicer golf courses. I would give this property 10 stars if I could. If we make it back to Augustine, we plan to stay at this perfect home. Thank you Donna!! Tara
