Overall - We had the BEST vacation we have had in a long, long time. This was the first time we booked through VRBO so far away from our home and we are so glad we took that leap! We had 4 adults, my husband and I, my in-laws, and my 3 year old son.
Condo: The bedrooms are separated by the kitchen/dining room/living room, so you are afforded some privacy. There are windows all along the beachside of the condo so that you get a great view. Like another reviewer said, there is a parking lot for the hotel next door and you do have a view of the AC unit of the restaurant, but the south view was beautiful. Don't discount this condo because of that. We made use of the washer/dryer almost daily. It was such a treat to return home after a week vacation with no dirty laundry. The kitchen and bathrooms were well stocked and the location of everything was labeled (It really spoke to my OCD). We cooked almost every night to save money. I did recommend to the owner to consider a slow cooker, so that after a day on the beach, we could come home to an already cooked dinner.
The shower and bed were heavenly. Always had hot water. We had enough room to blow up the twin air mattress we brought for my son. Since he is potty training I didn't want to trust him to not soil the pull out couch. There were 3 TVs. Each one had a DVD player.
The condo is also equipped with a storage locker in the parking garage. The locker has everything you need: bikes, chairs, buckets/sand toys, umbrella, body boards, fishing stuff, etc. My son had a fantastic time. We went to the beach every day. It is so close that we had no problem returning to the condo to use the rest room which is very important for a potty training little boy! There is an outdoor shower so you can rinse off the sand and salt water. We took advantage of the outdoor shared grill. There is a park just a block away with picnic tables and a play area.
Beach: I can't say enough about this beach. The thing I loved about this beach was that when the tide went out, it left a sand bar and an area for swimming that was great for little boys that think they can swim and for searching for shells and live crabs. You can take your chairs out to the sand bar and just feel like you are on your own little island. People were friendly and kept to themselves. There were no "spring breaker" type kids. It was a great family beach.
