Beautiful, exactly as pictured

The blue mango was the beautiful and relaxing get away that our family needed. The owners were so friendly and welcoming and we can't wait to go again!

North Captiva Island Beach Mansion

5 of 5
Spacious well maintained home on an 11 home island. They provide a 20' launch to get to/fro the island from the marina on Captiva, 20-35 min away depending on your speed. Beach is near pristine. Water is super. Dolphins, sea turtles and manatees abound. Owner of several properties and this one assures a comfortable stay and transport. Great for a family, we have 6 kids or a multiple couple get-away. The only negative is the poor communication and follow through from the booking agent. Unresponsive and untimely would be a compliment, but the owner/Proprietor saved the day. There are no excuses, they just did not perform in acceptable business communication standards. In any event, enjoy this time.

We will be back!

5 of 5
What a wonderful week we had here on North Captiva Island at the Blue Door Villa. I can't say enough about this beautiful home and island. The BDV was very spacious and accommodating to our 6 member family. The views from the roof top are spectacular! We also ended up on Day 2 getting the second golf cart from Annie, much needed if you have more than 4 people in your party. If you love wine like I do, Annie has plenty of nice large wine glasses to use. One thing I could have used was zip lock bags, don't for get them! You do not need a lot of clothing so try not to over pack with clothes. There are nice large beach towels and beach bags for your use, one less thing to pack! We also enjoyed the North Captiva Island Club everyday while on the island, such a nice perk! The club had kayaks that we used everyday along with tennis rackets, balls and even bikes. You can Kayak over to a section where the dolphins are swimming, we got lucky and saw a Mother Dolphin and her baby. Bring lots and lots of water, food and snacks. The store here on the island doesn't have much. We ate at Barnacles and the NCIC a lot all week. Prices are high but we expected that, supply and demand. Thank you Annie for sharing your beautiful home with us. We look forward to returning here again next Summer, Cheers! The Wagner's
