Love to vacation here - love to have a home that feels like home

5 of 5
This was our second visit to North Captiva - it cemented that this is our favorite Florida getaway. What we loved about Windswept is how much Mark and Wendy make it feel like home. The kitchen is amazingly well organized and stocked. (Wendy even has a map of the kitchen with where everything is/belongs). Need a food processor - they have one. Need a spice you forgot to bring with you - they probably have it. When you want to entertain yourself or the family - they have it covered. The selection of movies if there's a rainy day (we certainly didn't have any but did have movie night) is very complete with recent movies, favorite movies and classic movies. Plus there is a closet full of games to make family time fun time. We love North Captiva and what it brings to our family. On this trip we spent time with a family of manatees, kayaked to see amazing birds, dolphins, stingrays and flying fish. We spent a lot of time at Mango's with Suzy, Matt and Yanni (world's best bartenders). We were also blessed, because we stayed at Windswept, right on the border of the sate park, to see the bobcats. This is the perfect place to connect with family and disconnect from the world (although the wifi worked perfectly). We would highly recommend Windswept as your home for the perfect vacation.

Relaxing beach getaway

5 of 5
This was our second trip to Schooner Sail. We loved it so much the first time that we had to come back! The house is stupendous...lots of room...well-furnished and decorated. The island is a paradise in old Florida. We will keep going back. The owner is very friendly and helpful. Thanks for another great vacation!

AMAZING!

5 of 5
This vacation was and always will be one of our families favorites! We were a little concerned being so secluded that the kids (17,15, 12) would have enough to do but there was always things to do--or not do! The house was so well stocked with everything you might need and then some. The pool was great, so close to the ocean, the roof top deck had views/sunsets to take your breath away! Bring lots of food and drinks and your swimsuits and you will be set for the week. The only possible thing I could say negative was the bed was advertised as a Sleep Number Bed, but wasn't. It WAS one of the newer memory foam mattresses (I think) and in very good condition etc, but not to our back's liking! The rest of the house was so great though I almost hate mentioning it. Marie is such a pleasure to work with, you can't go wrong renting from her! We will surely be coming back! Upstate NY'ers escaping the cold spring of 2014
