This house was perfect for our family of 11 (3 generations). There was something for everyone to do. The rooms were spacious and comfortable and everyone practically had their own deck. I would say that I don't recommend sleeping on the pullout couch. You can feel the springs right through the mattress. Only plan on using the beds (9 people). The kitchen was well equipped for us to cook large family dinners and everyone could eat in the dining room. The house was updated and not run down at all. We spent a lot of time by the pool and on the screened in porch looking out over the ocean. And even had a family ping pong tournement. A quick 2 min walk and you're at the beach. Another quick walk and you're at the entrance to the preserve on a path that takes you to another part of the island and to another beach to do some great shelling (everyone walked away with a complete sand dollar). The house is equipped with a great stereo system that you can plug your iPod directly into. There were many games and books to entertain the family as well. This house was a great place to stay for a week and we certainly didn't want to leave.
The resort's kayaks and bikes were a short walk/golf cart ride away, although don't expect much from the bikes (they're in bad shape, but they're free for a reason!). We had no problem getting a couple of kayaks late morning, but if you have more than 4 people going, I suggest going early to use the kayaks. The restaurant on the resort was fabulous! A big thanks to the manager and chef for making our evening a special one.
Overall a great time for the family and I would highly recommend staying here.
