Unbelievable Home

5 of 5
My fiancé and I brought two of our children and two of their friends to the this beautiful home for a surprise beach wedding. I have been to the island many times before, and NCI is my heaven. This is the first home that I love so much, we are already planning the next trip to the same home. Blue Door Villa is beautiful and unique. The only contemporary exterior home on the island. It truly is striking and my wedding photos are unreal. The layout inside is perfect. There are plenty of places for the family to sleep and a large communal area for cooking, dining and entertaining. Their is an elevator for those needing assistance. What makes this property so special are the little things. First, Annie is AMAZING. When she realized I was getting married, she offered to help in any way I needed. Her help was instrumental for our beautiful experience. She helped me with flowers, dinner arrangements, the cake and the sweet minister (Bob and SueAnn). In addition, her home has little things that set it apart from the others: travel mugs for your coffee on your sunrise beach walks, beach towels so you don't have to worry about packing them, plenty of serving dishes and platters for cooking/entertaining and very nice, large bathrooms. We couldn't have had a better experience. Thank you, Annie, for being so wonderful and sharing your beautiful home with us!!

Paradise found

5 of 5
A beautiful well maintained bungalow. We felt at home as soon as we walked through the doors. The beds were very comfortable, the showers both inside and outside were great and the pool was inviting even on cool days. Most of all we enjoyed getting to know Diane and John our hosts. They made sure our 2 week vacation was perfect and we certainly look forward to returning again next year. When we do we will bring 2 bottles of our WhiskeyAcres! Thanks so much for sharing your magical cottage !

Love to vacation here - love to have a home that feels like home

5 of 5
This was our second visit to North Captiva - it cemented that this is our favorite Florida getaway. What we loved about Windswept is how much Mark and Wendy make it feel like home. The kitchen is amazingly well organized and stocked. (Wendy even has a map of the kitchen with where everything is/belongs). Need a food processor - they have one. Need a spice you forgot to bring with you - they probably have it. When you want to entertain yourself or the family - they have it covered. The selection of movies if there's a rainy day (we certainly didn't have any but did have movie night) is very complete with recent movies, favorite movies and classic movies. Plus there is a closet full of games to make family time fun time. We love North Captiva and what it brings to our family. On this trip we spent time with a family of manatees, kayaked to see amazing birds, dolphins, stingrays and flying fish. We spent a lot of time at Mango's with Suzy, Matt and Yanni (world's best bartenders). We were also blessed, because we stayed at Windswept, right on the border of the sate park, to see the bobcats. This is the perfect place to connect with family and disconnect from the world (although the wifi worked perfectly). We would highly recommend Windswept as your home for the perfect vacation.
