Have just arrived home after a month long stay at "The Flying Dutchman"
We loved the house with its large, uncluttered family spaces, beautiful spacious and well-stocked kitchen with enough cutlery, dishes and glasses for all day dining before the dishwasher needed to be used. All beds were comfortable, especially the memory foam master king bed. We enjoyed the piped-in, house wide music system, the wireless internet and house telephone with free North American long distance. The large screen TV's in living room and master bedroom featured premium HD cable service which we really appreciated on the few rainy days we encountered. Then there is the solar-heat and heat pump for the saltwater pool and hot tub (spa) which kept the water temperature as we desired, as well as an automatic pool cleaning and filling system, all under the lovely, south facing, screened lanai. The sliding glass doors across the expanse of the florida room open to the lanai. You have to experience the wonderful ambience of the pool and lanai lighting at night to appreciate this magical area. We opened the doors first thing in the morning and closed them the last thing at night. Lived in our bathing suits, except for our rare trips away from the house.
The neighbourhood is peaceful and lovely, a joy to walk and drive through. Our neighbours- Carole and Tom were delightful and very helpful. Bill and his daughter Karen also made us feel welcome.
Astrid, the property manager was a joy to deal with and we thank you, Astrid, for the welcome wine and gifts and your willingness to accommodate any requests we had.
Have already booked our return- our family of 6 adults can't wait for a couple of weeks of family time there in 2016! Thank you for sharing our idea of paradise in Naples.
