Can't beat the view...

5 of 5
...can't be the amenities either! Stayed here for work purposes -- but would come back for vacation in a heart beat! The condo was fully furnished with everything you'd need if you were at home -- and then some! Being steps from the beach, we had no problem taking advantage of a stroll at sunrise and/or sunset. The condo is also situated in a tranquil, sweet beach community. Neighbors and locals are quiet, friendly and always offered a smile! You are minutes from major chain restaurants we all love, but also to delicious local establishments! (highly recommend Yellow Dog Cafe). The beds were SOOOOOO comfortable too! Best nights sleep I've had in a while -- I ended up requesting where the owner purchased the mattresses after our time at the condo. :-) Minutes from shopping and restaurants; lots of activities available -- kayak/ paddle board/surf rentals and lessons; 30 minutes from Cape Canaveral and Kennedy Space Center; beautiful wildlife explorations; an hour from Orlando attractions. Great experience -- highly recommend for some R&R.

A Little Bit of Paradise

5 of 5
After a very stressful year that saw four deaths in our immediate families, my husband, his sister and her husband needed time away to mourn, regroup and focus on living. This home on a secluded beach proved to be just what we all needed. The condo itself is wonderful. It’s spacious with its four bedrooms and three baths. Two of the bedrooms face the ocean and the surf can lull you to sleep at night. There’s also a lot of communal living space so if more than one family is sharing, they can have their own space without intruding on others. The kitchen is well equipped so you can make your own meals, or just a sandwich. I especially liked having the washer and dryer so I could keep up with the laundry and not have to spend precious time doing it when I returned home. Because it’s located in a nature preserve, you don’t have tourists crowding the beach–which is literally just a few yards away. All week we only saw maybe 15 people walking the beach. What we did see, however, was nature in all her glory. Sea turtles nesting were evident every day. An osprey lived in the scrub beside us. We saw many fish–including a few small sharks and jellyfish. Best of all, we were surprised one day by a manatee who swam with us for a while. Shell hunters will be delighted at the variety that washes ashore. Sunrises and moon rises were spectacular and we could watch both from the long balcony that overlooks the beach. If you’ve done enough beach time, or it rains, the condo has Roku for streaming movies, DVDs for watching (or bring your own) and there’s a good selection of books and magazines for reading. The condo also has an elevator which makes it nice for loading and unloading your luggage and goods for the week or month. The property is only 1.5 miles from a grocery story. There are a few restaurants close by, but the majority are located a short 5-8 miles away and that’s where you also find shopping and entertainment. Downfalls to this property are few. Parking can be iffy if you have more than one vehicle. While there is Wi-Fi, there is no network TV on Roku, which caused some concern for football lovers in our party. Overall, this is THE place to get away and enjoy life at your own pace.

Best Place to Live in Florida

5 of 5
I have spent time traveling all over Florida's beaches on both the gulf and the Atlantic side and I can say that this has been by far the best place yet. This really is the best house in Melbourne Beach. You are within walking distance from the beach and the river at any time (the sunset is amazing at both). As for the house itself, it is very neat and meets every expectation a beach house should. It is very open and roomy, and a great place to get away and relax. The pool is fantastic and the property is just an all around ideal setup for everything a beach house should be. As for the neighborhood, the people are very friendly. In the few months that I was there I got to know several of the neighbors and they all cared about keeping the neighborhood tidy and friendly. This is a very welcoming place to be for all types of visitors. The private beach is fantastic- beautiful sand and the prettiest water in Florida. The river is equally beautiful with lots of great wildlife like dolphins and manatees at an almost unreal sunset. If you are looking for a friendly place to live comfortably in a great house and enjoy the beach life, this is the best house in Florida. I cannot say enough good things about my stay here and the great time I had. I would go back in a heartbeat. Ginger is great to work with and the price is extremely reasonable for all that you get. Friendly people. Great location. Beautiful house. Best place to spend any amount of time. You will be more than glad you did!
