Recent Marco Island Reviews

We highly recommend this property!

5 of 5
This was the perfect home for a week of celebrating with our kids , spouses and Grandkiddos! We felt right at home the moment we walked into the door of this 5 bdr home! The pool just steps from the sliding glass doors was the kids favorite. One day they even opted to stay at the house pool instead of going to the beach!!! The owners are great at getting back with you if you have any questions on how something works. We'd recommend this house and Marco Island as the perfect vacation spot!! We were celebrating our 40th anniversary!

Amazing week in Marco

5 of 5
We were so fortunate to spend an amazing week at this beautiful property in Marco Island. We had 6 adults and 3 children in our group. The house was amazing. The bedrooms were spacious and it was nice to have so many bathrooms. We ate dinner ever night outside under the covered lanai. That was so nice to have. The pool and the spa were great, the kids swam all day. The pool toys in the closet were a nice surprise. We fished off the dock and caught all sorts of species of fish. We were delighted to see the dolphins and stingrays almost everyday. We rented kayaks from a really nice man named Glenn- Adventures Kayaking 1-239-204-4314. We got 2 kayaks for the week and they dropped them off and picked them up at the house. I highly reccomend this to anyone. We had so much fun kayaking the canals and going out to the gulf. We also did Captain Jacks airboat rides which was well worth the time and money. This place came highly reviewed and we all had a great time. If you are traveling with kids I highly recommend checking out Mackle park. It was just a few miles from the house and it had so much to do. A huge playground, splash pad, basketball court, shuffleboard volleyball and more. Best of all it was free! The beaches were very nice, we preferred South Marco beach just because Tigertail was much more walking with the kids. Anyone considering this house will have a fabulous vacation. The owners were helpful and responded quickly to all of our questions!

Great Time at Marco Getaway 2

5 of 5
We had a wonderful time at Marco Getaway 2 and would thoroughly recommend it to anyone! It is a beautiful house; almost new, well equipped, and well located. The location is great! It is in a quiet neighborhood on a canal, but within a short walk or bike ride to the beach and numerous other attractions. There were a number of adult and kids bikes at the house which we enjoyed having, and we used them a lot. We rented a kids trailer from Island Bike Shop, and riding in that was one of the highlights for our 3 and 2 year-old grand kids. There are beach chairs there that are light with back pack straps, and we would grab those, the provided soft-side cooler, and beach towels, and ride the bikes the 5-10 minute ride to the beach. It was wonderful! The layout of the house allows for plenty of privacy when desired. The downstairs bedrooms are on opposite sides of the house, and each is very quiet. The two upstairs bedrooms have their own baths and a separate family area and a beautiful deck overlooking the pool and canal. You can be up there and it is like you have your own private quarters. The kitchen is equipped quite well, as is the whole house. Doug has obviously given a great deal of thought to making his guests comfortable with everything they need. The pool and hot tub area is very nice, and we spent a great deal of time on the lanai. A quick note about beaches. We went to Tigertail Beach one day and didn't care for it, especially walking through the shallow lagoon to get to the rather disappointing narrow beach. What we really liked was to ride the bikes or walk to S. Collier, then go south a short distance to the public walkway next to Madeira condos. You can park the bikes on the side of the walkway and walk to the wide, beautiful beach there. The Marriott is two doors south, and you can use the beach bar and restaurant there, in order to have lunch and get drinks. We didn't go to South Beach, but it looked nice, with a parking lot across the street that appeared to fill up quickly. We also rented a pontoon boat for a half day from Rose Marina, and they were very efficient and accommodating. We boated to Keewaydin Island for a bit, then explored the inland waterway, where we saw tons of dolphins. Again, I would highly recommend Marco Getaway. The owner has worked very hard to provide a great experience, and we hope to return!
