We loved our stay in this serene setting. The “Old Florida” home was perfect for our family. Cool terrazzo floors and 4 bedrooms so that the kids could have their own rooms and plenty of space. It was a very quiet and peaceful setting- a world away... Fun to stroll to the pristine beach across the street for fishing, snorkeling and walking for miles. Large back yard where the teenagers actually put down their iphones and explored the cove and climbed the trees in pure castaway fashion. There was a Great Blue Heron that fished in the cove every morning. Ospreys were in a nearby tree! The house has new kayaks we used almost every day for adventure after adventure. One morning, we picked a couple ripe grapefruit off the tree and had a nice fresh fruit breakfast. There was a set of golf clubs that the owners left to use so I was able to sneak out to play at Boca Royale Golf and Country Club only a few miles away! The house was very well kept with a brand new 50" flat screen. There was a large kitchen when we decided to eat in. Did not want to leave but felt we had to venture out and see nearby historic Dearborn Street in Olde Englewood Village. There was an interesting Farmer’s Market with local artists selling their creations along with other charming shops and a local band. We snapped up a unique wildlife photograph from a local photographer, a stunning sea glass necklace and some delish artisanal cheese. On the way home we stopped at the Royal Palm Marina, a local hidden Old Florida gem, had superb crab cakes dining alfresco at a rustic picnic table thinking Jimmy Buffet would walk in at any time! We totally enjoyed our vacation at Heron Cove and we can’t wait to return!
