When we walked in the home: the wood floor, clean carpet tiles, soothing wall paint, and tasteful décor caught my attention. The home is exactly as pictured: minus bedding in the bedroom, the furniture in the kitchen, and the orchid. Seriously, these were the only things “different from the pictures” (do they matter? No. my point: the home is EXACTLY as pictured). If you are travelling with young ones (delete packing sippy's, kids dishes, highchair, stroller, baby gates, monitor etc). The house temperature was set at a comfortable range. The dishes in the kitchen isn’t one of those “cheap” pots and pans – they are high quality stainless stuff. We had plenty plates, glasses, cups for our week's stay. The yard is well kept. We did not use the BBQ grill so I can’t comment on that. We did not use the game consoles so can’t comment on that. The house in general is roomy, clean, and gets plenty sunlight. The bedrooms are decent sized with good closet space. The mattress, pillows, and comforters are indeed very comfortable. My kids loved the life sized mickey and Minnie. Plenty towels in the restrooms. The small wooden table and chair for the kids is such an awesome and thoughtful addition. Netflix is available for free. I couldn’t locate the baby monitor upon arrival. One call to the management and she promptly came and left it for us on the table. The door to the pool has an alarm which was very thoughtful. Night lights were a nice treat. Outside the screened pool, we often had visitors – birds, squirrels. Then there is something about a pool overlooking a lake, so relaxing. The neighborhood is quiet and the gated entrance made us feel safe. The neighborhood pool and splash pad was so much fun. The house is also conveniently located to the “medieval times”, a grocery store, and to the Disney parks – it took us around 20 -25 minutes or so to get to the park each morning (you don’t have to take the tollway to reach the park. My only “suggestions” would be:
1) Have light switch covers available to make the home even more baby friendly (or renters – bring a pack of those plastic covers on your travel). 2) The mattresses in the kids’ rooms were very high and hence the bed rails did not really come up “high enough” and didn’t really do anything (in terms of preventing a child from rolling off the bed). (I put my daughter’s mattress on the floor). Thanks Catherine for your communication! We will return – I have already recommended your home to my family & friends!
