First, the only con: It is a smallish unit with one bathroom-we dealt with it.
The location was better than anything we could have hoped for. Being first timers in KW we really weren't sure where to be. It was perfect, MINUTES on the bikes to Fort Taylor Beach, like 10 minutes, cause we went to the wrong street, so probably only like 7. Blue Heaven Restaurant 2-3 minute walk. Duvall St., 4-5 minutes. I biked to the beach by Salute! (I forget the name) when my husband was off fishing, and had a great day, eating Key Lime Pie on the beach. The condo was clean, had lots of amenities, extra towels, very comfy bed ( and I am picky), and really best of all, quiet. That back patio for morning coffee was the icing on the cake, the foliage is so lush and tropical. We only cooked breakfast, but there is a very well equipped kitchen. I soaked in that tub almost everyday. And the TVs were good for the days we just vegged out on the couch. There are 2 little stores within walking distance, and we used the bikes daily. We really enjoyed the Conch Republic restaurant down by the marina, and that Kermit KW Key Lime Pie place near there. Being in the Truman Complex made me feel safe, and the neighborhood was interesting. We are already wanting to plan another trip, to further explore the keys. We will be using Billie's as our base. We would definitely recommend this property to family/friends. I have already done so. And yes, the Karma Box was a nice touch. Thanks Susan for a great VACA!
