We just returned from our Key Largo family vacation. There were five adults in our group, my husband, myself, two young adult children and one of their friends. We spent 13 days at the Oceans Edge Villa. This is our third vacation at the Kawama Yacht Club. We like it there because of the amenities and its close proximity to diving, fishing, jet skiing and restaurants. On our two previous trips we stayed in three story villas on the lagoon. In our three story rentals i always felt bad for whomever was on the bottom floor because it always seemed more of an afterthought not comparable in comfort to the remainder of the rental. The location and layout of the two story Oceans Edge Villa is far superior to our previous rentals The second floor has floor to ceiling windows across the length of the villa with beautiful views of the Atlantic Ocean and Molasses Reef Marina. The Villa was well decorated and furnished with everything we needed. We enjoyed having use of the golf cart and bicycles. We also enjoyed the large downstairs patio and gas grill. Our group voted unanimously that those were the most comfortable mattresses we have ever slept on. The notebook the owners provided on the kitchen counter answered any questions we had. When I did have a question I couldn't find an answer to I emailed the owner and he immediately responded. We found several local restaurants we enjoyed especially breakfast at Doc's Diner, stuffed burgers at Category 3, the BLT(bacon, lobster and tomato) at the Key Largo Fisheries Backyard Cafe, pizza from Upper Crust pizza, and homemade ice cream at Mr. C's. Our adult kids and their friend enjoyed diving with Sailfish Scuba, Rainbow Reef and Quiescence Dive Centers. They also enjoyed a jet ski tour at JetSki Day Tours. We went night fishing on a party boat at a nearby marina and my daughter and her friend had fun fishing on the jetty. The best thing is all these things were within three miles of the villa. We will definitely stay at Oceans Edge Villa on our next trip to Key Largo.
