We rented this house for one week in June 2014, and it was the best week we have ever spent in The Keys. First of all, the house is even nicer than it looks on the website. It is very neat, clean, and decorated with tremendous attention to detail. All throughout the house, you get the feeling you are staying in the home of people who lived and loved the Keys Island life. What you don’t see in the photos is the large Master Bedroom on the third floor, which was a pleasant surprise with a nice King-size bed, walk-in closet, flat screen TV with seating for two, a recumbent bicycle (if you want to exercise), and a wraparound screened-in balcony. The other room on the third floor has two twin beds and shares the bathroom with the Master. The room on the second floor has a queen bed. The kitchen is spacious and has everything you need including a fabulous view overlooking the bay. The way the house is located actually provides for a panoramic view of the bay, making you feel like you have it all to yourself. There are homes to one side, set further back, and no homes at all on the other side…just mangroves. The water which serves as your backyard is amazingly clear and full of interesting things to see. We saw a lot of fish, and we were fortunate to see a manatee and her calf came right up to the dock…simply amazing. The sunsets are different every day and equally incredible. Having the covered area at the end of the dock allows you to sit out there for hours and soak up the breeze and cool off from the sunshine. There are lots of great restaurants nearby, either by car or by boat. Publix and Winn Dixie grocery stores are super close if you need to by some groceries. The owner is very nice, and easy to get in touch with. He made sure everything was ready for our home-away-from-home vacation. We loved it so much that we have already planned to stay again.
