Florida Keys the way you would expect!!

5 of 5
I used to live in the Keys and go down every year. This was my first time staying at Bonnie and Bills place. We are a family of 4 and the house was perfect size for us.The place was super clean and smelled great when we walked through the door. We had rented a boat and the dock worked very well for our needs. They have a fish cleaning table with fresh water and Bill offers you plenty of advice and any tool you needed at your request. He also gives you good fishing and lobster advice. The owners live on the property but the property is so large you never bump into one another. Tons of palm trees and your own beach which is rear in the Florida Keys. All of the furniture was updated and the art in the house was a pleasure to look at. We would come back to this place again. 5 stars all day long. Professional business that deserves respect!

Clean, Comfortable, Convenient!

5 of 5
I stayed in this home with two friends (our ages are 25, 25, and 29). We were welcomed by Amelia, who told us how everything in the house worked, and showed us a book of brochers for restaurants. The home looked and smelled very clean. We were delighted to see that there was a chest full of board games, and also 6 or 7 bikes. There was a queen sized bed, a futon, and an air mattress. The kitchen was quaint and had all of our cooking needs. The home is located right off of US 1, which is the main road to get anywhere in the Keys. We swam with dolphins at Dolphin Cove, and snorkeled with Quiescence (who took us by boat to some reefs in John Pennekamp Park). Both of these places were just five minutes up the road. We also took a bike ride, and played board games and cooked on the days we wanted to relax. Roy called us to check in on how we were doing, and gave us many suggestions for where to eat out, and which places to avoid. We chose to drive to Key West one day, and returned to the cottage that night. (that's all the time we really needed in Key West, and we avoided staying in an overpriced hotel). Key largo is great for snorkeling and has many beautiful fish on its reefs (you really need to try snorkleing if you come here!), and if you want to go to more of “picture pretty” beach, you can drive down to Annes Beach or Key West. Roy always returned my calls and emails promptly which made me feel comfortable. All in all we had a great stay!

TIKI HUT PLEASANT SURPRISE

5 of 5
We had a marvelous experience at the TIKI HUT. In booking the facility Bonnie was very helpful and honest in handling the currency issues created in transferring Canadian funds to her account. The site was exactly as described in the property view. The facilities were very clean, and well stocked with cooking and bathroom supplies(Towels etc).A washer and dryer were also available in the unit for use The overall facilities were well maintained and groomed with lots of palm trees and clean sand by the ocean. A Tiki hut outside the unit was a great asset for relaxing and watching the local wildlife ( land crabs, birds, squirrels, geckos etc) Another Tiki hut and lounging chairs were also available at the beach for common use when soaking up the sun. There are three units on the property but you would hardly know it as they are spaced well apart and landscaping provided great privacy. Recommended restaurants and attractions are listed in an information booklet in the unit(well done). There is a great Wynn Dixie close by for any food beverage or other supplies required. The hosts were very friendly and accommodating through out our stay and we would definitely recommend this property rental if you want a central location in the Keys to explore the whole Key area. We would like to thank Bill and Bonnie for making our Florida vacation a great success!
