It had been 5 years since our family could come together for a family vacation. The Keys hold a special place in our hearts after having spent many times there over the course of 20 years. The perfect place was essential for this special year. After many hours of research the property that came to the top was this one. Almost to good to be true. Everything went perfect. The owner was fantastic and efficient. The house has a layout that makes it perfect for many people to stay and have much privacy. The spaciousness allowed no one to trip on each other. The porch was glorious. More specifically, the house exceeded expectations on kitchen and how well stocked it was with all the necessary cookware, utensils, etc.... Washer and dryer were excellent. 70 foot dock was unbelievable. It's a fisherman's perfect setup with bait freezer, pole holders, cleaning table, clean water, and many others. New grill made me smile. It's a great setup. We were too busy to use cabana club and swim a lot; however, we did go twice and found it acceptable. Inch beach was cute but the week we were there the seaweed was playing a havoc in the ocean overall. After all you are in the keys at not at the beach! Sombrero beach is a short distance and it is large enough to be maintained. Sunset beach was also very good. For boaters, capt. hooks does a great job and perfect location to go gulf or Atlantic at Vaca Cut. We are a salty kind of group and have been all over Caribbean, West Indies, Bahamas, etc. It certainly met and exceeded our expectations. It also didn't hurt that we caught over 30 dolphin while there. Thanks for the wonder stay.
PS. If you want to do a hook and cook, the Sea Island Restaurant across the highway from Key Colony did a magnificent job. Big Shout out.
