All that and a bag of chips!

We have 3 couples that vacation together every year. I organize the trip. I must say I was a bit nervous on this one as were the ladies but the owners from booking to departure were purely delightful to work with. The information, attention to detail, willingness to bend over backwards to make our stay in their home delightful was unparalleled. Their house is incredible and the island is virtually private so if you want to escape from people for a while, this is your place. The house has literally everything you would need from water shoes in every size, to kayaks, paddle boards, boogie boards, snorkel gear, games, beach chairs/umbrellas, fishing equipment, toys for kids, etc, etc. I am not sure I could think of something this house does not have. Cellular service is decent and the house has good internet/WiFi if you need to connect to civilization for a minute. The boat ride to and from Naples and too Marco is scenic and peaceful. The wildlife is amazing. We saw wild boar on the property, deer, turtles, dolphin, iguanas, eagles and many other bird species. The home and all the linens are impeccably clean. We would highly recommend this house and destination for something out of the ordinary. Probably our most memorable and special couples trip.

A wonderul experience

My husband and I have been planning a trip like this for over a year. It was only the 2 of us. We have never done anything like this before in terms of renting a house as remote as this and depending on a boat to get around. We had no idea what to expect when arrived but it was a very pleasant surprise. Espen and his team have created a very remote get away. The house was well equipped with everything except major groceries when we arrived. They did have a lot of the basics for cooking and some food that others have left behind. We had a great almost private beach (we saw maybe 8 people total on the island the week we were there). They have a great supply of swim toys as well as sun screen. The house itself is very comfortable and cozy yet elegant. The weather was great. The 1st 2 days were sunny and the next 2 was stormy but we just laid out on the lanai and read. Though the house is solar powered we never ran into any issues despite having 2 days with little to no sun. The only thing I would say was a problem was that when you take the boat to Naples there is no public boat parking (at least not that we could find) and in Marco Island it took us a few times but figured out you can call the harbor master on channel 16 and park there. Winn Dixie also has a Marina but request that it is only used for their patrons. The other was the gnats after the storm. Neither of these problems reflect on the experience we had. We plan to return.
