Nice long-term rental solution

4 of 5
Our family was relocating from out of state to Jacksonville so we rented this condo for two months until we closed on our house in JAX. My husband's new job is downtown so this was an excellent location for his commute each day and having a fully furnished unit was so helpful so we didn't need to acquire bedding, linens, kitchen items, etc. The owner was very easy to work with and so accommodating to our requests. For example, upon check-in, the unit smelled smokey (I think from a neighboring unit) and the carpets looked dirty. Due to the long-term rental, at our request, the owner immediately had the carpets cleaned and things looked and smelled fantastic from then out. This condo had everything we needed for temporary living arrangements. As mentioned in other reviews, the surrounding area is a little sketchy. When we told people where it was located, several expressed concern. However, being a gated community, we did not feel unsafe in the unit. The neighbor below was very sweet and kind and was concerned when my husband was gone on business a few days and his car did not move. She actually wanted maintenance to check and see if he was okay. This was a good solution for us for temporary living during our relocation and the owner was a pleasure to work with so we have no complaints!

Gorgeous historic condo in great area

5 of 5
Our family stayed at this condo for a vacation and loved it. It is conveniently located to Memorial Park and historic Avondale and the Saturday Farmers Market under the bridge. It is within walking distance to Publix, Black Sheep Restaurant, and the Cummer Museum. The place was so spacious that we hosted a dinner for some local friends so we could visit over a good meal without going out to eat in a crowded restaurant. Catering by Liz at Bottega did a great job preparing the meal for our dinner party. The owner was very responsive to our needs and apologized for some construction noise that started early one morning. He offered a gift card to BBs where we enjoyed a delicious brunch. I also highly recommend Biscottis and Brick Restaurants in Avondale (about 2 miles away). If you have a large group and want to stay in an historic, hipster area, this place is perfect!
