Pleasant clean cottage near St Pete Beach

4 of 5
My husband and I enjoyed staying in this small cottage in a quiet residential neighborhood. We liked the location, especially that it was only about 2.5 miles from the beach, and also conveniently close to pharmacy, grocery stores and the artsy village of Gulfport. Everything was provided for our stay including lounge chairs, and the owner was very helpful when a minor repair was needed. It was great to have a grill for cooking fresh seafood, and also to have a washer and dryer close at hand as part of the rental. I would recommend this property, particularly to a married couple. Downtown St Petersburg is only minutes away, and we enjoyed the wonderful waterfront farmer's market, excellent museums and restaurants!

Very comfortable cottage, perfect for our family

5 of 5
My children and I rented the cottage for almost 2 months. We have relocated to St. Petersburg and needed a place to call home until we closed on the house we were purchasing. The main house on the property was rented and not available when we arrived, so we rented the cottage. It was perfect for us. It is equipped with everything you could possibly need. The décor is very beachy, very tastefully done in blues and creams. There is a large library of DVDs, puzzles, games for the kids. The front yard is fenced, which was perfect for our little dog. I could let her out without worry of her getting away. The location could not have been more perfect. We were less than 10 minutes from the beaches, less than 10 minutes from downtown St Petersburg, walking distance to Boyd Hill park, minutes from the on ramp to I 275. Helen is a wonderful host. She provided everything we could possibly need. From the moment we arrived, Helen made us feel welcome and let us know that she was there for us should we need anything at all. By the time we left, I felt we had known her for years! Thank you Helen for allowing us to stay in your cottage, and then the main house. We would not hesitate to stay there again and will happily recommend it to anyone looking for a place to stay while in St. Pete.
