Wedding Parents

5 of 5
We just had the pleasure of renting the Gommer House to stay in Gulfport for our daughters wedding. The home is spectular and the appointments were way above expectations. We were met by Paula the house keeper who showed us the house and made us feel like we should make it our own home. Folks, it just dosen't get any better than this. Right on the beach, 1 block to downdown and a personal review of all the restruants and shopping from Mary the owner. We really appreciated the little extras and we will for sure rent the property again soon.

Perfect Long Weekend

5 of 5
The perfect sanctuary for two gals who needed a quiet place for some writing and relaxation. The house had all the amenities we could ask for and more. The location was fabulous--only a short walk to lots of great restaurants, bars, shops, etc. We enjoyed lovely sunsets from the rooftop of a nearby restaurant (so sorry I forgot the name!) The owners of the cottage were super easy to communicate with (always replied to my emails quickly and kindly) and they were gracious enough to let us bring a furry friend along as a third guest. We don't live far from the area so we will definitely be staying here again in the future when we need another getaway. Two enthusiastic thumbs up.

Charming Bungalow in Convenient Location

4 of 5
This charming bungalow has been carefully restored and furnished to replicate the period in which it was built. However, one aspect of the furnishings, which are quite lovely, is that there are no light fixtures sufficiently bright for reading, which can be trying. The proprietor supplies lots of lovely amenities (shower gels, soaps, etc.); lists of attractions and nearby restaurants with descriptions and contact information; and, a thoughtfully stocked refrigerator with initial amounts of basic provisions. Also, there are an amazing number of small appliances available for the preparation of various types of meals. However, one curious omission is that there was no microwave, which made re-heating items difficult and was inconvenient. Access to a washer and dryer was very handy and a big plus. Once the WiFi service was repaired, we had a lovely stay in a very interesting part of the city. The woman who was our contact for any questions, could not have been nicer and went out of her way to be helpful. I would definitely recommend staying here.
