"2 Months in Paradise"

5 of 5
Mary & Dan, Thanks for sharing Gommers with us. We had a wonderful 2 months in Gulfport. Loved the house, the screened porch and the beautiful yard and beach! What a view, so peaceful. We are’nt new to Gulfport so enjoying the convenience of being such a short distance to all the establishments we enjoy was great. Fun to walk to the Tuesday morning market to get our fresh vegetables and look at all the vendors wares. Hard to pass up the fudge man with his $1.00 small cones filled with a dip of sinful chocolate fudge! I think I would choose fudge over ice cream any day! Gulfport is a city with so much to do, friendly people, and so many wonderful places to eat. Of course our fav is Stella’s. The atmosphere and food are a fabulous experience. My sister and I took Tai Chi lessons every Tuesday and Thursday at the rec center, an easy walk and a opportunity to meet many new friends. The twice a month art walk in Gulfport is interesting with lots of treasures. We also were able to attend a play at the community theater. We loved sitting on our own beach watching the sailboats, kayaks, and dolphins. The entire experience of being at Gommers was in parallel with our life’s motto, “Life is Good”. We look forward to working with Paula (the property manager) again next year and enjoying paradise for 2 months in 2016! Thanks for all your good communications about events in surrounding areas. We would highly recommend Gommers to anyone looking for the experience of living in Paradise!

Lovely St. Petersburg Cottage

5 of 5
This adorable cottage was the perfect place for a winter vacation in Florida. We loved everything about it; it's pretty, comfortable and immaculate. Kimberly and Michael thought of everything needed to make our time here feel like "home." We enjoyed the comfortable beds (great linens), yummy towels, the well-stocked kitchen, Netflix + dozens of channels, wi-fi, even a box of DVDs. There are picnic baskets, beach totes (filled w beach towels) and a shed filled with beach chairs, umbrellas, etc. AND a brand-new Weber outdoor grill, which my husband loved! Kim was so attentive to our needs and did whatever was necessary to make our stay perfect.....a great host, who felt like a friend. We were greeted with a welcome basket filled with goodies (teas, popcorn, chocolates, etc.) and found staples already there: coffee, sugar, flour, spices and the bathroom stocked w essentials. St. Petersburg is a wonderful vacation spot. We visited the museums (several times), the art galleries, antique shops, craft stores, markets (including the famous Saturday Farmers' Market for a terrific outdoor lunch), restaurants, strolled the waterfront and took in the Boyd Hill Preserve. We also attended two shows at the Palladium theater - both excellent. We took day trips to De Soto Park, Safety Harbor, Sarasota and Punta Gorda, too. But I think my favorite activity was lying on the daybed in our pretty sunroom in the afternoons, reading or listening to music -- heaven!
