Lovely St. Petersburg Cottage

5 of 5
This adorable cottage was the perfect place for a winter vacation in Florida. We loved everything about it; it's pretty, comfortable and immaculate. Kimberly and Michael thought of everything needed to make our time here feel like "home." We enjoyed the comfortable beds (great linens), yummy towels, the well-stocked kitchen, Netflix + dozens of channels, wi-fi, even a box of DVDs. There are picnic baskets, beach totes (filled w beach towels) and a shed filled with beach chairs, umbrellas, etc. AND a brand-new Weber outdoor grill, which my husband loved! Kim was so attentive to our needs and did whatever was necessary to make our stay perfect.....a great host, who felt like a friend. We were greeted with a welcome basket filled with goodies (teas, popcorn, chocolates, etc.) and found staples already there: coffee, sugar, flour, spices and the bathroom stocked w essentials. St. Petersburg is a wonderful vacation spot. We visited the museums (several times), the art galleries, antique shops, craft stores, markets (including the famous Saturday Farmers' Market for a terrific outdoor lunch), restaurants, strolled the waterfront and took in the Boyd Hill Preserve. We also attended two shows at the Palladium theater - both excellent. We took day trips to De Soto Park, Safety Harbor, Sarasota and Punta Gorda, too. But I think my favorite activity was lying on the daybed in our pretty sunroom in the afternoons, reading or listening to music -- heaven!

Peaceful escape

5 of 5
My husband and two children (ages 4.5 and 2.5) stayed at Gommer's House for a fabulous week vacation. The home and property is maintained beautifully. We had everything we needed for a perfect family vacation. The location couldn't be better. The large yard and private beach are perfect for children (and adults)! Breakfast on the porch was a hit and so was the swing in the yard. We were able to walk to quaint downtown Gulfport for the majority of our meals. Stella's was amazing...a must! The town itself is an ideal location to see other sites in Florida. On one of the cooler days, we drove to Magic Kingdom. Gommer's house and the property are beautiful, clean, comfortable and peaceful. It was the relaxing vacation we needed. We would love to go back!
