Just About Perfect...

5 of 5
This was just about perfect for us... Very clean, everything you need at your fingertips, relaxing, met some nice people and made some friends. Robert was very accommodating- he met us at the apartment/condo to give us a key and show us around. This was an easy drive from the airport. (TPA). It was a little trickier once we got inside the community, but we managed. We even had a parking spot in the carport. We had a 3 year old with us for part of our stay and it was very nice to have a full kitchen to make meals and snacks for her. The grocery store was nearby and we stocked up on groceries- and cooked most of our meals. There is a nice grill on the patio we used for hot dogs, burgers, & chicken. Also a washer and dryer off of the patio available for use which came in handy for drying beach towels etc. It is a very quiet neighborhood. We enjoyed each night on the patio listening to the pond sounds while sipping an after dinner drink. There are large TV's in the living room and bedroom with cable and the living room TV has a Blue-ray/DVD player as well. We rented a kids movie but unfortunately couldn't figure out how to play it. It was too late at night to call Robert and the 3 year old was leaving the next morning so we didn't bother, and it could've been a faulty DVD we rented, or probably our error. Keeping a 3 year old occupied can be a challenge, but we spent 2 full days at the pool. There's a small sand box near the pool that she enjoyed also. Now, keep in mind with the pool, it's not automatically included, to use it, you should be a Saddlebrook Resort guest, a member, or be a guest of a member. Our neighbor at the apartment/condo befriended us (even gave us a few rides touring in the golf cart which the 3 year old enjoyed) and we were able to access the pool and bar area as his guests without any problems. But you should know it's not really part of the rental unit. Also, you probably wouldn't walk to it, we took the rental car and saw many people using golf carts to get around. The have a pool bar we enjoyed a couple drinks at, and sipped by the pool as well. The pool area is large and beautiful- We also ate at the restaurant called Dempsey's Steak House, pricey, but very good. I cant say enough how thankful I am for the opportunity to have stayed here. It worked out perfect with our nearly last minute plans and we enjoyed our time there. Would certainly recommend it, and would like to stay again sometime.

Great Vacation Rental

4 of 5
We stayed at this rental for two weeks in January and had a wonderful time there. Although the weather was cooler, it was a great mid-point for the places we wanted to visit. On beach days, we only had to walk a very short distance to a beautiful sandy, long beach. Wow! We loved being situated on the intercoasal waterway and enjoyed sitting outside at the patio enjoying our dinner and breakfast. The apartment suited our needs very well and two small issues that arose were taken care of promptly. The people who were renting upstairs were a little noisy at night, moving around furniture and opening and closing the patio door while we were trying to sleep but this only happened twice. Quite time is at 11:00 p.m. to consider everyone who stays there which we appreciated. We had a wonderful stay and would definetly stay with Laura again. Thank you! Cathy & Ed from Canada:)

You can't go wrong with this place for the price.

This place has been freshly remodeled and everything in the unit is brand new. It has new furniture, new appliances, new bath and kitchen. This unit has a convienient washer and dryer located within. The drive to the beach was an easy 5 min away. The only issue I had(it may not be an issue for others) was that the neigborhood was a little bit noisey at some points during the day. This is a residential neighborhood and not necessarily a "vacation spot". The unit is located right across the street from a school bus stop and can be a little noisey in the AM when the kids are congregating, waiting for their bus. This is something to consider if you visit when school is in session. There was plenty of room for the two of us in the 1 bedroom apartment, but I would recomend that the owners put a sofa bed in the living area to make it more attractive to people vacationing with a child or two. Overall, I had a good stay with no problems. If you are looking for a clean, updated place to lay your head while you attend to business or spending time at the beach, You can't go wrong with this place for the price.
