We stayed at this home for 3 months (Jan – Mar 2015) and found it better than most. The house is spacious and well equipped for the most part. The pool area is excellent and very well taken care of, with new patio furniture and a working barbeque. Feeding the wildlife around the lake is a good way to spend your time. The front door electronic entry is a nice feature. The internet is fast and the TV station selection is excellent. Tom upgraded the master bedroom TV with a DVR, which was very much appreciated. The beds are not high quality but suitable for a rental property. The kitchen dishes and utensils are well stocked. The rest of the furniture is of a good quality however the couches will need replacing in the not too distant future.
We did experience two problems during our stay: We have been renting vacation homes for several years now and the selection/condition of the pots and pans in this home was the worst of any place we have stayed at. When we asked to upgrade a fry pan and one medium sized cooking pot, one of the property managers (Diane) became very irritated, rude and nasty. She supplied us with a used fry pan and a new 12 quart Stock Pot (that was really of no use to us). My wife purchased a suitable pot that we took home at the end of our stay. The other problem was with “Sugar Ants” (a problem we are told is common to Florida homes). We discovered the ants in the kitchen and bathroom areas. The house was sprayed and the inspector determined the outside area the bugs were entering the house. I advised Bob (property manager) and he had the area sealed. We continued to see them in the bathroom for a couple of weeks however several cans of Raid helped. All in all it took one month to rid us of this problem.
Had we not encountered these problems I would give this home a better rating.
