A wonderful stay in Dunedin, Florida!

4 of 5
We had a wonderful stay at "our" home in Dunedin, Florida! We were there for the entire month of March, 2014. Our main purpose in renting the home was to attend a number of Blue Jays Spring Training games and the location of the property was perfect for that! We could easily walk or bike the 2 miles to the ball park. We also attended NHL games in Tampa, only a 45-minute drive away. But there is a lot more to do in Dunedin than sports! We particularly loved the downtown market which ran every Friday and Saturday from 9-2. We bought most of our fresh fruit and vegetables there, as well as a number of other homemade articles and food. And the Pinellas Trail is wonderful for walking and biking. Our dog loved the great dog parks in the area too! The description of the property was certainly accurate; in fact I think it was even better than we expected. It was very clean and the hosts, Paula and Phil, were SO agreeable and helpful, and returned our calls or texts immediately, if we had any questions. They even let us stay an extra night! The house is well laid out for company as 2 bedrooms are at one end of the house and the master bedroom is at the other end with the living area/kitchen in between. One initially awkward thing about the house is that the screened in porch is off the master bedroom, as is the door to the garage, where the large, modern laundry facilities are located. There is a pocket door to the kitchen and another one to the living area from the bedroom. So guests had to go through our bedroom to get to the porch or the garage. However, we quickly got used to this and it became a non-issue. We appreciated having 2 televisions, one in the living room and one in the master bedroom. It was also great having 2 bathrooms, including the master ensuite. Part of the large yard is fenced in for dogs, which is very convenient. The suburban neighbourhood is quiet and nice to walk in, day or night. We enjoyed a number of restaurants, cafes and pubs, including the bagel place on the corner just as you go downtown and Eddie's Pub after games. We would DEFINITELY recommend this property to friends and relatives and in fact hope to go back there ourselves either next year or the year after, maybe for 2 months next time if it is available! Thank you again Paula and Phil!

Exceeded Expectations (Mother/Daughter Getaway)

What makes this condo so special is it's " New Orleans Style" courtyard charm, the historical area, the old growth oaks, beautiful planters, and the amazing birds. I wore my guide out looking them up. Osprey, herons, wading birds. I know its florida and florida has alot of birds.....but to observe them so close in such a populated area is pretty cool. Mom and I named them...they were our buddies. We also loved having our morning coffee and having 3 islands within our vision and everyone comes out right before sunset to see the beautiful colors over Caladesi. The condo was very quiet and very comfortable. The full time residents were very kind and the pool was wonderful after island exploring and biking. The owners were very helpful while making arrangments. Can't wait to return!

Perfect!

We have just returned to the UK from a fantastic holiday in Dunedin. The apartment was exactly what we wanted - it was clean, well-equipped, and an excellent location for the beach (Honeymoon Beach & Caledisi Island) and some great restaurants (Bellini, Bon Appetit). We spent some lovely evenings sitting outside by the water watching some spectacular sunsets. The owner was extremely helpful and friendly. I would recommend this property with no hesitation. A great find, and a wonderful holiday.
