A very nice home....

5 of 5
We (two couples and a 10 month old) really enjoyed our 10 day stay here, for several reasons. We always expect to get what we have been promised when we rent a house, but have been sorely disappointed by dishonest owners/managers on a few recent occasions. This home is 'as advertised'. In fact, the pictures on the website precisely capture the detail, color and space sense in each scene. WYSIWYG! A spacious, open floor plan, plenty of ambient light, and everything works! In addition, this is more than a rental house, it is a home. It has the supplies expected in a home - e.g., needle and thread, pen and paper, a scale! Clearly, the folks who preceded us left some household supplies for our use - laundry and kitchen soap, paper towels, and Charmin toilet paper - the good stuff! We maintained that practice. This is a quiet residential neighborhood, but friendly. The kind of neighborhood where people say hello when you pass. The pool is a nice perk; it can be heated if you desire. We used the pool/deck daily - and seldom saw/heard other people. Herman the Heron flew in to his regular spot in the canal each morning - and back to his home each afternoon. He hunts the fish in the canal - successfully. We did not fish from the dock, but saw several 3 foot somethings - and maybe a four foot beastie or two. Also saw a Bald Eagle - and then learned that they are prevalent in Florida. The house is about 1.2 miles from the beach; an easy 20 minute walk that we took a few times. We also drove to the beach for dinner one night (Amante's - noisy but pretty good food). It gets pretty busy along the beach roads, but we had no difficulty finding garage parking. Publix is just down the street - or an 8 minute walk. Golf and tennis nearby. Rt 95 is just 10 minutes away. This is a good spot to stay! We ate out most nights. Our local favorites: Casa Maya; Pickle Barrel; Charm City Burger. We had an outstanding meal at Abe and Louie's in Boca - it was easily worth the trip. Kilwin's (at the beach) is a good ice-cream parlor, though chocolates are their main claim to fame. We favored the Frosty Point Ice Cream Parlor in Lighthouse Point - original flavors and very friendly service. Less than 3 miles away and easy parking! The folks who manage this home for the owners do a noteworthy job. Kathleen met us at the house when we arrived, showed us through the house, and answered the few questions we had. Our rental experience was smooth. Thanks, Kathleen and Kathy!

Great Vacation Getaway!!!!!!!!

5 of 5
The layout of the house was perfect. We each had our own space. I sat out by the pool every morning with my coffee, read my book and got my mind together before the rest of my friends woke up. It was soooo peaceful. Loved the landscape. Now I want to plant palm trees at my house, hope they can survive in Shreveport,LA. Also, what is the name of that very colorful bush by the jacuzzi that has the curly leaves...I want one of those too!! The proximity of the house was close to everything. We did quite a bit of sight seeing....overall everybody just loved the house, we all want to retire to Florida...loved the master bathroom. Let me just say, from the street..the house is deceiving...but once you walk inside...OMG! But we are all blown away by all the latest upgrades in the house. Niklas was great, he responded quickly to our questions/concerns. Would very much recommend and we want to come back!!
