LOVELY COMFORTABLE VILLA IN A CONVENIENT LOCATION

5 of 5
We were a family group of 8 including 3 children, staying in February 2015 for two weeks. The villa was a home from home! Well equipped, clean, well maintained, spacious and really comfortable. We were glad of the pool heating(paid extra) because the overnight temperatures dipped below 0C on a few occasions. The ladies in the Club House were very helpful and we enjoyed the use of the computer/printer, pool table and crazy golf a few times. Orlando has expanded and changed a lot since our last visit 2000, with new roads everywhere, and HUGE volumes of traffic. We got lost many times before buying a sat nav. Then life became so much easier and relaxed! We bought most of our food from Walmart, just a half mile up the highway and ate in the villa. The best all-you-can-eat breakfast, about $8.50, was at the Golden Corral, about 5 miles up the hwy 192. We also loved the Sweet Tomato, all you can eat lunch and dinner $8-9...healthier option! on the 192. Not impressed with the food at the Irish Pub on the corner near the villa. We visited all the main parks including Discovery Cove to swim with the dolphins. With three young children in tow we were quite restricted in how much we saw, and we know we missed a lot, but it was great fun anyway. Viv Diball, the villa owner, was very helpful and informative and the booking process was easy. We would definately highly recommend this villa to anyone planning a visit to Orlando in the future.

The full Clermont!

5 of 5
Just moving to Florida from Upstate NY we were so lucky to find this gem to enjoy while we began our house-hunting. Chris & Diana were quick to answer our inquiry and answered all our questions. With great flexibility, they worked out all the details for our stay of an uncertain amount of time. They were so helpful before and during our stay and even accommodated our pets with a smile! The back deck was lovely to catch the afternoon sun. We didn't know anything about the area when we booked it but historic Clermont turned out to be a perfect place to start our new life. Just walk out the door and there are vintage shops, a block down to an amazing lake and bike/walking trail, great places to eat or grab an ice cream and even get an excellent hair cut. At night the tree lined street is aglow with white lights on all the trees. Walking home from the wine bar in the evening was always a treat. The extensive farmer's market right outside our door every Sunday was ridiculously charming. Don't miss the fresh eggs from the "egg guy"! We also enjoyed a music festival and a fine arts weekend as well right on our street. Everything is very clean and the police station is a block away but I didn't feel I needed it. The "flat" itself is gorgeous. Pictures do not do it justice. It's so spacious and takes up the whole 2nd floor of a building front to back. The bay window in the master bedroom was the best way to greet the Florida sunshine each morning. The exposed brick and 2 sets of french doors made it a chic and modern classic. Newly remodeled with granite counter tops, dishwasher and 2 full baths it lacked nothing. The place is completely equipped with everything you'd ever need to sleep, bathe, cook, eat or lounge. 3 TV's was a nice plus although most nights we just enjoyed the peacefulness of the apartment. Although the street enjoys a happy and slow bustle during the day, it is really quiet and lovely at night. Yet it's easy to get to all the attractions and parks in Orlando and has Target and lots of other stores and grocery stores nearby. Chris & Diana live right down the street and are always available if you need any help or recommendations for places to go. If you have a chance to stay here, don't pass it up! We almost wish we didn't find our dream house so quickly. We are always going to look back fondly at this special time & place.
