Wonderful, peaceful home.

4 of 5
The house was very clean and the big kitchen made it easy to prepare meals. Wonderful spots to eat are close by in Apalachicola (Owl Café) and East Point (Lynn's Oysters). We spent several days exploring -Tate's Hell hiking trails are less than 2 miles from the house and St. Marks Wildlife Refuge is 30 minutes away with great hiking, alligator gar-filled pools and beautiful dome cyprus swamps. Of course, just relaxing at the house is a huge treat. From the deck you can look out at Dog Island and watch dolphins and seabirds. Low tide exposes sandbars that would be great to fish from. Our dog loved playing on the beach. The house was spotless and you couldn't tell that dogs have been there though it is pet friendly. We did wish we had a kayak or canoe to explore the nearby river or paddle around in the bay. We'll definitely be back.

Weekend Getaway!

5 of 5
The Sandpiper Quay was everything we thought it would be. A very clean, well equiped cottage on the beach. I mean your own private beach. Yes, people do walk by and by, but you have the advantage of walking only one to two minutes from your cottage to the beach. This was a special weekend getaway for us from all the cares of the world. This place served us well. The manager was very nice on our booking and the owner was nice to let us stay a little later Sunday on checkout. We also saw many wildlife, including a black bear, in our stay. My wife and I thank you so much for allowing us to stay at your beautiful cottage by the ocean.

WONDERFUL! Could not have asked for anything more!

5 of 5
This was the perfect set-up for our week away with friends. When we wanted to socialize we could, but for quiet, private time everyone had their own space. The dock was perfect for parking our boats. It was so nice having everything right there when you got ready to fish, boat ride, or cruise to Dog Island. Very short boat ride to the bay. Enjoyed the fact that the place was secure and not overcrowded! It was a short 1 minute trip by car to the beach, and what a wonderful, peaceful place that was! The pool was fantastic after a long day of fishing. We absolutely loved the house (especially the elevator)!!! The kitchen was set up with pots, pans, plates, silverware, utensils, toaster, blender, coffee pot, and dishwasher ;-). The rooms were separated enough that each couple truly had a private space and a private bath in each room. The living room was so comfortable. Enjoyed having dish access! I believe my favorite part was the balcony. I enjoyed my cup of coffee each morning watching the sunrise an my evening beverage watching the sunset! AMAZING!! We enjoyed cooking at the house most nights (we did bring our own grill), however there are MANY great restaurants in the area for those nights (or days) you don't want to cook. We had a wonderful vacation and we are already planning our next trip! Can't wait!!!!!! ;-). THANKS!!!!!!!
