First off, this home is beautiful. The set-up is great other than I wouldn't call it a four bedroom home, it's has three real bedrooms with the fourth bedroom being a bunk closet, and the furnishings are very nice. The open floor plan is very inviting and the bathroom set-up is very well done. We really appreciated the location on the beach because there is no home on one side and this gives you extra room on the beach. Also, the house is secluded from the street and that gives you extra privacy. We also appreciate the owners providing a blow-up mattress to make sure everyone could be accommodated with a bed if the bunk area didn't work, as it didn't for us. We would stay here again as we loved the house and we loved the area (much less crowded than Destin, Seaside or Orange Beach). Now the downsides. The carpet in the house is a little worn and probably should be replaced (going to happen in a rental property with carpet). We had one maintenance issue with a shower handle that was quickly attended to, however, broke again on the next use. There could also be some investment in the kitchen cooking pots, pans, and bowls. My final two comments are with the rental agency. First, the communication for proper check-in procedure is VERY poor and lacks all basic information such as not going to the subdivision before visiting the agency first. Second and finally, it took 3 weeks from check-out to get our deposit back. I am quite certain we left the property in BETTER shape than how we found it but it still took 3 weeks to receive our deposit. I don't mind having the company earn $$ on the float in advance, but 3 weeks to return a deposit is entirely unacceptable. All in all the house is great, location is great, neighborhood is great, just want all potential renters to understand ALL rental dynamics before they choose to rent.
