                    PERFECT LITTLE HOUSE

                    5 of 5
I agree with all that has been said about this house. The outside spaces, both front and back, are wonderful with wooden decks, not just bare ground like many of the similar houses in the village. We had 2 adult couples which suited the house fine. I personally think that the inside living area would be a little tight for 6 unrelated adults, but the large outdoor spaces make up the difference. It is one of the best equipped rental houses we have stayed in, with great beach chairs, beach umbrellas, and a beach wagon. The mosquitos and noseeums were almost non-existant which was very surprising for a house with such beautiful lush vegetation. The hot tube was great. We rented through the realty company without any contact with the owner...everything was as smooth as could be. The washer and dryer are outside under an overhang next to the house, but it is no problem. Overall a great little house that I recommend wholeheartedly.

                    WE WILL BE BACK

                    5 of 5
We absolutely loved this place! We cannot say enough about this rental and the location. It was perfect for our family of five which consisted of our children ages, 23, 20 and 15. We came in on the 24th and stopped at the Publix grocery store before hitting the causeway to stock up on breakfast and lunch items. The rental was right on the beach and provided all that we needed. Beach chairs were provided and the walk to the beach was only about two minutes if that. Get up earlier in the morning to look for shells and again about late afternoon. Make sure that you take bug spray or buy it there. The No See Ems will get you in the early morning hours and the late evening hours. We did go to Jerry’s grocery store twice on Sanibel. Once to pick up a birthday cake for our 20 year old and Blanche did a wonderful job with the cake. The second time to get additional lunch and snack foods. Prices were not that out of the ordinary. The area provided a gas grill of which we were able to grill twice during our trip. Hit RJ Otters for breakfast; try the Mexican food restaurant, Mucky Ducks and the Key Lime Bistro. The food on the island is really nothing special so don’t expect that much. All the restaurants had a nice atmosphere and the staff was good. For things to do, contact Captain Paul’s Yacht Charters for a wonderful cruise, YOLO for Sup boards and other equipment, Island Photography for family photos and Captiva Kayak Co. & Wildside Adventures for an excellent kayak trip. Finally, we would like to thank Ann for answering all our questions and making this such an enjoyable, relaxing trip. We will definitely be back next year.

A WONDERFUL MONTH SPENT AT CAPTIVA COTTAGE!

                    5 of 5
Bob and I have enjoyed our month here in Captiva Cottage. It is hard to leave to go back to the icy cold of Wisconsin! The new pool has been wonderful! Our grandkids especially enjoyed the fountain and the shallow end. We love having a fenced yard and all the privacy that the cottage gives us. The beach has been incredible...most days we have had it to ourselves. Every day it is different and it is always fun to see what it will be like. Most days we have seen dolphins. Piper, our Golden Retriever, has been Queen of the beach! She just wants to swim and retrieve any kind of ball and is quite good at riding the waves. I think she has developed a following! The Cottage has an outdoor shower where we were able to bathe her daily after her time at the beach. We have enjoyed the Ding Darling immensely and have made a daily trip there. We've seen endangered Wood Storks, the legendary lady crocodile,an alligator and so many gorgeous birds. Some of them such as the Blue Herons, Snowy Egret and Great Egrets we have at home in the summer. We kayaked in Tarpon Bay which was so neat. We also went fishing with a guide for Redfish. We came home and prepared them for dinner. It was wonderful! Your perfect location enabled us easy access to many fantastic restaurants both on Captiva and in Sanibel. Our favorites include Over Easy Cafe for breakfasts, picking up take home lunches at Sweet Treats Gourmet and dinners at The Timbers, Doc Fords and Sunshine Seafood. Bob and I so enjoyed our time in Captiva Cottage. It was the 2nd year we stayed and hopefully we will again next year! Your photos give an accurate look into the house which really has all that one needs for their vacation. It is very clean and well maintained.
