Wonderful place

5 of 5
What a wonderful place! The description and pictures are exactly what you get when you decide to visit here. The condo was clean and easily accommodated 8 of us (including two babies). For anyone that has tried a beach vacation with babies, they know the hassles of dragging everything to and from the beach. That is virtually eliminated here with the location and accommodations at the condo. Great place for adult getaways or a family vacation with small children. We were able to swim with the dolphins every morning. We caught 9-15 pound redfish all day long in the bay. Sharks, Turtles, Stingrays, Manatees are all around in the bay. The local restaurants were great! Rum Bar, Key Lime Bistro, The Old Captiva House. We didn't have a bad meal anywhere! Lastly, it was a very easy and stress-free vacation. Very easy drive from the airport. Our family will be vacationing here again.

More than we expected

5 of 5
It seems that with any vacation rental, there are always at least a few minor problems. But in this case, everything was in good shape. The condo was well-furnished; we had everything we needed. And everything - appliances, air-conditioning, grill - worked perfectly. The photos on the web site are good representations. One thing they can't give a sense of, though, is how nice it is to hang out on the screen porch and watch the activities on the bay. I never counted the number of steps to the beach, although I intended to, but it was a very short and easy walk. And the beach is beautiful - lots of shells, very few people. The location also is easy walking distance to the center of Captiva, whether walking along the beach or along the road. And for all you boaters, the dock is convenient and in good condition. We had seven people - five adults and two children - and everyone was easily accommodated. I certainly would recommend this rental property to anyone interested in a stay on Captiva.
