My family and I just spent a wonderful week in Cape Cottage #1 and we can't wait to come back next year! It's only steps to the beach and you can see the gulf from the deck. It's a very small cottage, but was the perfect size for our family of four. It was clean and the kitchen had everything we needed to cook meals. Beds were comfy and there was plenty of storage. The washer and dryer was sooo nice to have, as well. With all the sand, we used it every day! There's free wifi, although it wasn't working during our stay. We were able to piggyback on a neighboring cottage's wifi, which helped but the coverage was at times spotty. We were there for the beach, though, so that wasn't such a big deal to us. The cottage is also conveniently located within walking distance of The Trading Post store, which carries food/grocery items, souvenirs, beer/wine/liquor and just about anything else you might need. If you're looking for lots of night-life, touristy type stuff like mini-golf or souvenir shops, you'll have to drive about an hour and a half to Panama City, which we did for a fun day trip. Cape San Blas is slower paced and laid back, with not a whole lot going on. But that's what we were looking for...a place to relax and enjoy the beauty of the gulf coast. Scalloping season started during our stay, so we decided to give it a try. It was so much fun! And they were delicious! It's a must if you're there in July. Highly recommend!
