What a great property! It was so clean and beautiful and very well appointed. We loved the location of Santa Rosa.... right in the middle of Destin and Panama City. Traffic on 98 is a bear but if you have time to take the scenic route (30A), the communities and beaches in between are so quaint and boutique. Seaside was a favorite as was Sandestin. We did as much as we could pack in a week's time. We went to the Blue Angels in Pensacola and Dolphin snorkeling in Panama City. We didn't care for Panama City proper but the Blue Dolphin tour guys were a blast. Their hut was a little hard to find (call first for directions) but they waited for us and they certainly knew where to go to see a wonderful show of dolphin activity. They were great with their commentary and knowledge of the species of wildlife in the area. We got to swim with a Manatee which per them was rather unusual. Highly recommend renting from Yellowfin Ocean Sports @ Grayton beach (prices very reasonable and service, awesome!). We rented a tandem kayak and their rates were $70/24 hours as opposed to most other companies @ $35/hour. They were 8 min. from the house. Walking to the beach (5 min from Magnolia Place) was short and non-taxing, even our 70 year old Mother, who had never been to the beach, had an easy time of it as there was handicapped parking right next to the stairs down to the beach. We had awesome pizza and coffee from local shops. The Goatfeathers seafood market was a little pricey but mercy did that fresh shrimp taste good in my etouffee! My husband, 12 yr old son, brother in law and his 15 yr old son did a charter fishing trip... choppy water, great captain but word of warning, if you get seasick, it will happen on this outing. Older dudes hurling over the sides (LOL), kids did just fine. They caught grouper, snapper and almost a 3 Ft shark. The fish was amazing from ocean to table and they will filet it for you. Overall.... it was perfect! Not a flaw in the house that I can think of. Hot water is wicked and toilet pressure a little low. Speaking for the 12 members of our extended family, we will most definitely book this property again next year.... same time same place. It's that good!

Great for several families

5 of 5
I just spent several nights with our extended family here. We had 8 adults and 6 children (age 10 and under), with each family to a bedroom. We chose this place because of the two living spaces and private bathrooms for each bedroom and the proximity to the beach. My family stayed in the bedroom with two twins (there was plenty of room for our kids to sleep on air mattresses on the floor) and we were VERY pleased with our stay. We ate in for every meal, and were very satisfied with the abundance of cooking utensils, dishes, glasses, silverware, etc. available. Publix is only a couple of miles away, which made daily grocery trips easy and quick. Seating was slightly limited in the dining area for our large group, but with 6 chairs at the table and 5 at the bar, we made do and also used the coffee table so that we could all eat together. There was plenty of cabinet space for all our food and "junk" which helped keep the common kitchen area nice and uncluttered during our stay. The decor is very modern and comfortable, and we really enjoyed all the signs and words on the walls everywhere. My 4-year old memorized the "There is no elevator to success, you have to take the stairs" as he walked up to our room each day! :) Some special touches that made our stay especially pleasant - the condo was stocked with indoor toys and games, movies, Netflix in each bedroom, radios and CD player (with a large collection of CDs), white noise machines, books to read, several beach chairs, pool noodles, and beach toys, etc. The beach is just a short walk down the street. We took a car with all our gear each day, and then walked back and forth. One of our families brought a wagon for the littlest kids, which was VERY helpful, as it is a fairly long walk for little legs in the heat, especially carrying towels and bags. For adults and older kids, it's not far at all. The wifi worked great (even on the rooftop balcony). We loved the pool and since there weren't any other people staying in the building while we were there, enjoyed our "private pool" several times a day! There's a walking/running/biking trail right across the street, as well as a place to rent bicycles if you wish. Possible Concerns: -The kitchen is on the 2nd floor, and the balcony is three flights up. If you have knee trouble or young crawlers or early walkers, keep that in mind. Suggestions for Improvement: - more hooks for towels & beach towels in the bathrooms Thank you for a great stay

Wonderful week on the Beach

5 of 5
We had an excellent time at the Crow's Nest. The property exceeded our expectations. We loved the layout. I have to say the shower in the utility room and the access to the utility from outside, made it so easy to get kids in and out without making a mess. The access to the beach was so easy, and since it is a private access, there seemed to be less people than at the public access points. We felt like we were in our own paradise.
