What a wonderful home. Clean, comfy, quiet, great location, lovely view. On our first day a Loggerhead Turtle crawled onto the little beach, about 50 steps from the house, to lay eggs. (The local turtle patrol and local Sheriff said it was very rare to see this during the day) On day 2, we had our morning coffee with a Pod of Dolphins 25 yards off the bay beach. But the grand finale was snorkeling on the beautiful gulf beaches and having a Manatee swim up to us and just hang out for 2 hours. ( Remember folks, look but don't touch, even though they are the cutest animals in the world!!)
The house itself is lovely. The pool is just the thing you need after spending the day on the wonderful gulf side beach. I never did turn on the TV, and to tell the truth, I was better for it. We spent hours on the porch at night, just looking at the heat lightning over the bay.
We parked our car and didn't use it a single time while we were there. Bring your bikes, or rent a bike ( rental place is 3 minute walk). We did have a cart that attaches to our mountain bikes, so we loaded up beach stuff into that. It is about 4-5 blocks to the oceanside beach. The restaurant suggestions you'll find in the "House Binder" were spot on! Pine street has everything you'll need, from groceries to dive masks, sunscreen to burritos!
Great House, Great Owners. Great vacation.
