Outstanding! Highly Recommend

5 of 5
As we were planning our family trip to Croatia(Istria), we were searching for a tranquil villa where we could relax yet be close enough that we could explore Istria and the beaches. Villa Jelenic exceeded our expectations! As we arrived at the gated entry way, we were led up the driveway which was lined with lavender and rosemary bushes. The villa was situated on top of the hill with beautiful views of the mountainside. As we enterted the doorway, the owner had prepared bottles of wine as well as olive oil, rakija(grappa) and vinegar from their farmland. The villa was exactly what we were looking for. Designed as a traditional stone home it had all the modern amenities(WiFI, AC). The villa was pristine, comfortable, and well decorated with traditional Istrian touches. Doing a lot of traveling this was one of the nicest places we stayed. The pool area was relaxing and the outdoor kitchen and seating area were perfect the days we decided to stay home and cook our own meals. The villa was centrally located so you were never more than 20min to 1.5 hrs from exploring Istria. Although we did alot of traveling, the days we spent at the villa were most memorable. An added bonus was the fenced in area which was perfect for our children to run around and explore with no worry. We spent every morning feeding the deer which the children cherished most. It was nice having the owners close by so if there was any question they were a phone call or email away. We could not have been more happy with our stay and we are looking forward to spending time at Villa Jelenic next summer!!

Luxury Escape

5 of 5
Casa Leopoldo exceeded the expectations of the two families who enjoyed the beauty and sophistication of this wonderful villa for seven days. Designer luxury, beautiful gardens and the most wonderful hill top location had me constantly reaching for the camera. We delighted in the hospitality of Luisa and her wonderful mother who cooked for us and led a cooking class. The close proximity to the village allowing us to purchase local meat, wine and produce was an added benefit. The short drive to Sestri Levante for a swim and leisurely meal or the train to Cinque Terre allowed us to experience the wonderful coast before retreating to the peace and quite of the villa. This felt like a bucket list holiday and I would recommend Casa Leopoldo without hesitation.

Dream Vacation

4 of 5
Photo galleries on the internet usually portray vacation destinations in a much more appealing way than the actual real life experience, once you arrive there. That is definitely not the case with Villa Amalia. Reality surpasses any possible expectations The landscape is simply breathtaking. You constantly find yourself surrounded by acres of uninterrupted forests and herb gardens that co-exist, side by side, with the seashore. Half of the bedrooms in these premises, fully and recently renovated, offer the above-mentioned view that is usually complimented in the mornings by the dolphins of the area, swimming in full serenity. The hospitality is unique. Deprived of any kind of grand gestures, the house keeping maintains its traditional and discreet identity, never failing to fulfill the needs of the guests. Highly anticipated and sought after, it can only be described as genuine greek. We visited Villa Amalia in June and we kept thinking that it would definitely make an amazing winter destination as well. We are looking forward to having this experience soon again, any time of the year.
