An extraordinary treat

5 of 5
This is an extraordinary place, both regarding the location and the cottage itself. A tasteful and cosy furnishing, beds of highest quality, a secluded pool area for cooling morning or night baths, an outdoor dining area with a barbecue and a stunning view from all parts of the house, are details that made this an unforgettable stay. For people who appreciate privacy, enjoy beautiful decoration and indulge in hikes through stunning landscapes this is the perfect place to be. And whenever you want more activity, the small village of Vinisce as well as Trogir and Split, with the variety of rich night life and historic sites dating back to the Roman Empire, are within reach. At our arrival the property was impeccably clean and tidy, and naturally equipped with both tv and wi-fi. Small extra treats such as a nespresso coffe machine, garden books and decoration magazines on the shelves, was a pleasant surprise. The staff was very friendly and serviceminded as well as respectful of our privacy. This is definitely a property we recommend without any hesitation.

Charming Country Home, Totally Relaxing Stay

5 of 5
I don't want to sound like a broken record, but if you read the other reviews, be assured that they are all spot on! Not only is the home exactly as described, the owners, Pete and Shirlene are among the best hosts we have encountered in our half-dozen rentals we have been in. They were as excited about our visit as we were! They take such care to make sure everything is perfect and enjoyable. We got very detailed directions to make sure we arrived at the property easily. The home itself is beautiful, welcoming and comfortable. We found the kitchen to be equipped with everything we could possibly want or need. We prepared our breakfasts and cooked most of our dinners there. Lunchtimes we were usually out and about. Another wonderful feature is the fabulous fireplace in the living room. Each night we had a roaring fire and we sat and lounged, reading and listening to music until the embers went out! The bedroom had plenty of space and the bathroom was large. There is even a piano for those who want to play a few tunes. There is a very organized collection of information about the area for visitors to read: area sights, castles, services, groceries, restaurants, picnics, drives, etc. All very thorough. Lots of maps and directions. We took advantage of the information and planned our days. We usually started out early doing our exploring and then arrived back at the house in time to enjoy the backyard with a glass of wine and a good book. There is quite a library of books in the upstairs loft. We finished several books and left them for future visitors. We really enjoyed seeing the many castles in the area and the beautiful vineyards. We took several long walks from the house and we loved seeing the countryside on foot. We encountered lots of friendly cats and some of the areas famous "white cows". It is certainly a picturesque area and we can't wait to return to explore even more. Chez Peshi didn't really feel like a rental. It felt like it was "our" rental home. We were there for 5 nights and were amazed at how fast the days sped by.

A little slice of heaven!

5 of 5
This is our idea of the perfect relaxing vacation. The cottage is presented and cared for better than most 5star resorts. We have been before and will be back again!! The day bed by the pool, is a wonderful place to relax and enjoy the view. The front terrace, is perfect to enjoy a romantic dinner and watch the world go by. And breakfast is best enjoyed at the small table outside the kitchen. Location: You are literally alone on the hilltop. If you are looking for a quite, relaxing spot to unwind - then the cottage is wonderful. You may encounter the odd passer by, bike riding on the path below - but 90% of the time you will be alone. The walk down to the village is a steep one ... that takes a good 15-20 minutes. This road is not for regular cars. Cottage: Wonderful, perfect, amazing. The cottage has been finished and appointed very well. Certainly not a 'normal' holiday rental. Everything about the cottage and its presentation has been done with love and with the best for guests in mind. Inside the cottage it can be a little dark - but in the heat of summer, this style is essential to keeping the temperature inside down. We love the separate kitchen building - with the wonderful ole' fashioned open fire/grill. Whilst there is the loft upstairs with a double bed - I would really recommend the cottage as a romantic location for couples. It is your own private paradise. Overall: We love this place - this is our escape. But it may not be for everyone, it is a little isolated - so if you are after a short walk to restaurants, this is not the place for you. But if you are looking for something amazing, a place to relax, recharge your batteries and watch the world pass by then this is for you. When you feel like joining the civilization - you can get in the car and visit Split or the beautiful Primosten. The local supermarket has limited supplies, so plan to stop in one of the larger cities on the way to stock up on supplies. Simply wonderful. Dominik & Karin are fabulous - we will be back to stay again and also will stay in Villa Amore in May. There are few owners with properties that take the care in the little finishing touches and quality that they do.
